There's a TON of former I-Air guys there. From the ones I talk to, they don't ***** much. I'll bet if you threw the same Q up on the "other board" you might get some of them to bite and answer.

It's different than the regionals, and in my (and all the others who came over who I've talked to) opinions- we like it much better. I was an RJ captain and took somewhat of a pay hit, but it has been well worth it with a much better QOL than I ever had at the airline, much better benefits, and a much brighter future than any regional. I miss the jumpseat, but I've also earned 6 frequent flier tickets this year and a couple weeks worth of free hotel stays for when I use the free airline tix.

I've just joined NJA from XJT as of August. I really hated having to leave XJT, great place to work, but as a CLE SRJ CA on eternal reserve, it was time to make a change. I haven't flown the line here at NJA yet, but from what I've seen in training, this is a FANTASTIC company. Of all the "regionals," though, I believe an XJT pilot would have the hardest time leaving behind some of the great provisions we had in our contract. But if you're willing to accept either the 7/7 or "Reserve" schedules at NJA (the only 2 options), then the rest of the QOL questions resolve themselves quite easily!
Hope that helps, if not, post another reply w/ specifics and I'll try again...

Life at NJA is much better that the regionals. I left the regionals over 8 years ago for NJA, was a great move. To be honest it was hard getting use to the sched and not knowing what lies ahead, but now I wouldn't have it anyother way. The QOL at NJA is better in every way, not to mention if I was still at the reginal I'd be a 11 year RJ capt making 80k with a crappy 401k
match and inferior bennies. Now my w-2 will be at 135k at NJA

Chances are about 100 percent if you are willing to wait for whenever they decide they need pilots for the DAL base. Recentlly they have hired into all the bases, but the guys who went to DAL had been waiting longer than most of the others for their interview.
