Default Bag Size 7 Day Trips

Are you guys using 22" roller bags or 26" bags for the longer trips? I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to get 2 extra pairs of shoes, workout clothes, and all my other crap to bring with me. I used to fly day trips for a local charter outfit so switching to a 7 day rotation makes me think I need to learn the ways of packing!

Luggageworks 22" for 15 day trips. Roll your clothes. I do laundry once mid-way through the run. Two extra pair of shoes? This isn't a fashion show. Leave them at home. Working out when your body clock is so messed up that you can't even take a proper dump is not even a remote thought. Leave that stuff at home. You'll develop a system that compartmentalizes your bag like a TV dinner tray.

Mike Wagner, the guy who made the parody songs (Stuck in Teterboro, I sit around) has a video on how to pack for 7 days. Look him up on YouTube.

I use the Costco 22" bag. Works like a champ with a pair of workout shoes and Crocs. Don't know about two pairs of real shoes in there.

Damn! Harsh!

I pack for 15 days as well with a 26" bag. I take my runners and workout clothes. 2-3 t shirts, jeans, shorts, swim shorts, flip flops, undershirts, 10 pairs of socks and underwear, and a sweater. It works just fine! I still have room left over after all that if I need to stuff something extra. I also carry around my laptop in a case and textbooks for school in my flight bag. Never have a problem!

Purdyneat bag, the big one, that takes up nearly a whole bin in the overhead, when I was flying for K4 I had 8 days of clothes ,plus workout gear, with a mid tour laundry stop ( HKG,JFK,CVG,LEJ)pretty much guaranteed. That same bag serves me well at Netjets, a 7 day tour is a piece of cake compared to my 17 day sojourns at Connie. I always pack workout gear, Gods grace I have been blessed on my tours with the ability to find time to both run and lift.

Used to get 8 days out if 1 shirt in the winter, 3-4 in the summer.
A true sign of a fractional pilot.

We were not allowed to check luggage so 22" max.

22" works great.

Bring 2 shirts that match uniform pants for down time.
1 set of work out clothes (plus 2 or 3 socks)
7 uniform socks
7 undies
7 under shirts
3 Uniform shirts*
1 Uniform pants*
* besides the pair you wear on day 1.
You are all set.

Also, just buy a whole new set of toiletries. One for home and one for the road. Saves a lot of time and hassle if you don't have to pack toiletries.

We've all been there. You will start week one and religiously go to the hotel gym. By week two you are complaining about the lack of equipment and consistency. Soon after, late week work outs are being skipped. Some time later, mid week is being skipped. By the end of the first year, the work out clothes are just dead weight in the bag. It is like getting married. We all said we wouldn't be that guy....but we are....now.

You will need to fit into "skinny jeans" if you are assigned the Phenom 300.
