Commuter Parking Policy
#11
They only pay for your parking at your base.
Not sure about DFW but if that's not your base some major airports don't give you access to employee parking.
You'll need to buy a monthly pass to your local park and fly place.
Most have discounts for airline employees.
That's the 121 world.
Buddy at American has to park at off airport parking at the airport he commutes out of also.
You don't need anything from the CP office for that.

I never post, but I'll bite on this one. I commute out of DFW as well, and park in the employee lot. The DFW employee parking pass office in the B terminal requires a signed letter from the Base Ops Manager (office located at F9's ticket counters, non-secure side). Get that letter, and take that to the parking office with your badge and $50/mo and you'll get your pass to put on the windshield. You can pay for the rest of the year, or quarterly. If you're DEN based, the company will only reimburse you for the cost to park at DEN, which is $36/mo - so the rest is on you. If you're a DFW commuter for F9, PM me and I'll forward you the contact email for the DFW Base Ops Manager. This procedure is purely a DFW thing.
Also, if you want to save a lot of money, some of our pilots park at the first A terminal train station parking lot. That's free, and they've been doing this for a long time with no issues (e.g. towing or break-ins). You do pay for the short train hop to the A terminal and back - I've heard it's only $3 or so each way.

Jcabesa's first post says all he needs is a letter verifying employment and that HE will pay for the parking at DFW himself just like every other commuter does out of base. There are a handful of airports where this is not possible but not DFW - Sounds like your just saying "too bad" that's the 121 world to him. They gave me a letter for where I commute from couple years ago.
Every damn airport is different.
Some local park and flys only require a company ID for a monthly crew rate.
Look like Texanflyboy handled how to get it done at DFW.

More than anything I was just shocked at how little help I received from the CPO and HR. Who would have thought I'd have to come on an anonymous Internet forum to solve my company problem.

Most of the pilots here are good people and helpful. To the company you are #4xxxxx, they give zero ____
