I completely agree...1000%. Zero overlap. I suspect our managements have spoken and said "you grow over there, and we'll grow over here. Well stay out of each other's area until we decide to marry" ... you guys have tons of mid western and western cities we have zero exposure ... and we have quite the following on the carribean routes that you guys dont. not to mention we seem to be hammering away at the snow bird shuttle (New England - Fla).there are too many similarities in business models, management, aircraft, etc. I suspect a merger would, from a business perspective be a very good deal. Who knows how it would affect us personally and quality of life issues. But all frontier guys I've met are great .. minus some real dumb dumbs here, we have a good group ...I suspect a merger would Turn the new company into a real powerhouse and the pilot groups would mesh well. Just wild speculation but similarities and route structures can't be ignored.

Give them another 5 years and Kirby will be singing a different tune in bankruptcy court. United isn't even a business. It is more like a government subsidized institution. They will run the airline into the ground trying to pick up scraps from the ULCCs.

Sounds like someone is butt hurt cause they didn't get a call. The reason Frontier is announcing new connections is because the point to point method isn't bringing in the usual revenue. Did you see Uniteds 2nd quarter results? I think we're doing just fine, but please tell me how much money your company makes off the backs of the lowest paid airbus pilots in the Western Hemisphere. UAL has the lowest profit margin amongst the majors.
Nobodies making money of anyones back. It's a called the CBA process. It was just a few years ago UAL airbus pilots were some of the lowest paid in the industry. In fact Spirits pay was also higher than UALs. GMAB.
The announcement of the expansion shouldn't be any surprise. The deliveries have been planned for years.
