"With forecasted retirements, it's no secret that the demand for highly qualified pilots will grow over the next several years," says Frontier Chief Operating Officer Jim Nides. "This new partnership helps address our future pilot staffing needs while providing pilots entering the workforce a certainty for their careers."
What a load of crap. One might want to look at our seniority list before buying into this nonsense. We have a very young pilot group.
"forecasted retirements" What a joke....

Nides is referring to retirements at the Big 3, not us. In other words, he is saying no one wants to come to Frontier if they can get hired at one of the Big 3, so they must get creative to sucker pilots into coming to F9.

I disagree. Hence “our future pilot needs”. In my opinion, they are simply trying to make this place look more desirable than it is. But I do agree on the creative suckering. Hopefully no one buys into it. For their sake.

We aren't rushing to come over. Currently it would be a 50% pay cut for any AX captain coming to F9 and it would take 3 years to get back to what a captain at AX makes. That isn't worth it.

Pretty sure Magatu was being fecetious. Nobody is going to force anybody to make the switch, and at this time it’s proably a good idea to stay put. But the decision to change jobs or not based on the first 1-3 years of pay is pretty short sighted unless you’re 62 years old.
