Quote: Uh, are you even familiar with our contract situation and how the company has handled it? Oh yeah we're miserable.
First off, yes I am familiar. Secondly, I can understand about how ****ty it must feel because I too have been there albeit under diff time/circumstances.

Was not trying to start rumours, be a troll, etc. Met lots of people from F9 and they all seemed quite nice. All have said the contract is coming. It has to come so I have been told.

But there is no need to start bashing someone who is simply putting up what they heard.

We literally got an email yesterday from our union saying a contract is not coming. So no, a contract does not have to happen. Thanks for your rumor mongering in this difficult time for us.
In case you missed my post in the hiring thread, ALPA just sent an update email to F9 pilots. The contract is NOT happening soon. They are strongly encouraging EVERYONE to go to other airlines. You will make more as a new hire at United (or delta or American, etc etc) than you will make as a captain at F9 even if you were hired straight into the captain position at F9.

THIRD year United FO's make MORE than FOURTEEN YEAR CAPTAINS at F9. Think about that!!!

Yes, F9 pilots are miserable and angry and for GOOD REASON. And new comers are NOT wanted and NOT welcome. You are hurting ALL alpa pilots by even applying to F9 right now.
Plus upgrades times are increasing rapidly, already getting close to 4 years and for someone hired today it looks like they’ll be waiting a lot longer than that. What the company says and what’s happening are two different things.
I don't know where you see 2-2.5 years. Everyone on property can see the bid for PHL and the most junior capt would be 3.5 years. I don't know where you're getting your info but whoever told you that is an idiot. As for 40% that would still put us at the bottom so no, not a step in the right the direction. 40% might as well read 1% for the majority of pilots here.

Again, not rumour mongering. Had i said I KNOW THAT FRONTIER WILL BE PAID ON PAR WITH FEDEX, then yes. As for who told me this, it was someone on the inside at F9. Could be total BS like you guys said. I don't know. The thought process was no one wants to goto PHL, so would be a quick upgrade. Didn't mean to created heartache or trauma amongst you folks. Just looking for info.

How do you see that? The “What if” award only shows me what I can hold. Not what everybody else can hold.

But yes, the last few staffing adjustments have required 3.5 years or more to hold Captain. I don’t see how anybody thinks 2.5 yrs will be able to hold captain, even in PHL.
Quote: You heard 2 to 2 1/2 years upgrade? Really guy?? In a base that hasn’t even opened where staffing levels haven’t even been solidified, you and your source believe the upgrades will happen in this amount of time. Rumor mongers like you are the reason why this site is a joke. Buzz off, Flip.
Airspeed never responded to me, so I kinda feel left-out!?

You know, maybe I'll stand corrected. With the hopeful mass-exodus that occurs based upon this last bit of messaging and the incredible amount of opportunity out there, upgrades could plummet at this crap hole of an airline. Who knows, potentially 12-18 months! Sh!t man, maybe they'll even get to the point of direct to the left seat, captain street hires!! But damn, then who will sit in the right seat?? That would be swell for Bat Farry.

(I know we have a few doozie Fos that won't be going anywhere, but they'll just continue to throw gear and b!tch and moan all over the FB)

lol

So true though.

Heres another realistic scenario for you. Management never offers a market rate contract (they have showed zero signs that they will) and the place melts down from within (its happened before) we just didn't close the doors. Indigo then takes the aircraft and gives them to xyz airlines or potentially sells future delivery slots to xyz. Parts of our scope are expired and the parts that are not need major changes. Either way they turned a 50 million dollar investment into 1 billion. I alway find it funny when a newer guy says were built to withstand a economic downturn. Thats true because they can just close the doors rather than lose money. Theres no shareholders to answer to. Thats what i would do if i was up 1 billion. Why lose that? Now your friend is scratching his head, sitting at a crash pad in phl, down six figures, wondering what the he!! happened.
