So from the DEN informal chief pilot / company gathering.......... no new bases?

Were you there or was this another “my friend has a cousin that knows a sim tech that walked down the hall in SSS and overheard the chief pilot” story?

I’m laying money down on the following in 2019: 1 new base open (maybe a second announced), half the hiring we were told in January (around 200 total), a net gain of 13 planes (we were told 15), and an IPO.

Sounds like a safe bet.

No big surprise but there is no June new hire class. Email went out today.

I feel bad for new hires waiting for a delayed class. It's probably safe to assume July will be more of the same since PHL appears to be fully staffed.

A new base in Q3 or Q4? I'm not sure I believe anything anymore.

They have never been honest when it comes to staffing over the summer they never seem to run classes in June/July. It doesn’t help everyone is picking up every ounce of opentime and Leap engines are causing delivery delays. I would be surprised if I saw COLAs in August.

Does frontier allow you to block all your reserve days together, so you can get long blocks of days off in a row?

The new contract has Fixed Days Off reserve lines with 12 days off in a row. Other than that, not really. Once we go to PBS who knows.

There are also 3x6 reserve lines that tend to block days off together a little more than short or long call.
