I have a friend that’s a 767 captain at a legacy and I will out earn him this year and I’m in my 20s and he’s in his 60s. This place is a lot more lucrative than the pay scale leads you to believe. We have a lot of soft pay and I work way less than him and don’t commute.

Keep in mind that this year’s year-to-date paystubs include a substantial retro/signing bonus. My YTD is in excess of $300k and I’m on reserve.

I’m sorry you’re right when I meant he works harder I meant he commutes and gets less days off than me. I’m sure his work is easier because he’s not doing domestic flying. Anyway there’s pros and cons to both companies but advice to someone younger that wonders why we haven’t left it’s because we have it pretty good now.
