FLICA Bots issue

I am curious about this whole topic. I understand the frustration. Our premium system is garbage and so is our open time system. I just don't understand how using automation is breaking any company policy that could result in disciplinary action. It is an automated system and people are using the best method that they can find to interface with it. I don't hate them, I hate the broken system. It seems like a written policy, followed by warnings would be required before there was any action taken.

Anyone else hearing about this? Apparently the bots were the reason for the FLICA outage we had a few weeks ago and even some ongoing issues with latency and notifications. CAE is threatening to release Frontier as a customer unless something is done about it so the company and union are discussing options.
Permanent FLICA bans, unpaid LOAs, and even termination are on the table depending on how egregious someone’s bot usage is/was. The company has access to everything on FLICA including number of requests sent so I guess it will be pretty easy pickings to find those responsible for the FLICA crashes. There's already a list of offenders and it's just a matter of time before they start dishing out punishments.

why does CAE care?
read the user agreement. FLICA is a house. Your furniture is in the house. The Bots are ringing the doorbell, versus a human ringing it. The bots are not going inside the house, and looking around.
Nobody is "accessing data WITHIN FLICA"
nobody is hacking source code, or tapping into the pipe Frontier uses to send data to FLICA.
indeed CAPTCHA etc would fix this
that is how I see it, and most attorneys would see it also.

Apparently, CAE thinks BOTS are the reason for the FLICA outage a few weeks ago. I have no idea if true, but if so, then your house theory of just "ringing the doorbell" is incorrect. They're rigning it in a way that's disabling the electric system...

Put another way:
Can't use an automated system to access FLICA.
Can't use an automated system to bid.
Can't use an automated system to obtain data within FLICA.
Allegedly, some pilots are violating prohibition #2.
You read that differently?

The agreement states "Use of any unattended or automated systems to access, bid or obtain data within FLICA is specifically prohibited."
Put another way:
Can't use an automated system to access FLICA.

Can't use an automated system to obtain data within FLICA.
Allegedly, some pilots are violating prohibition #2.

I am sure the appropriate levers will be pulled to shut down said behavior if determined to be a violation.
