Any idea of how many of us are actually in the pool and when classes might resume?

I’m sorry you guys got the rug pulled out from under you, that sucks. But I wouldn’t give up on a July class; a July new hire doesn’t affect the staffing until October and the second half of the year is when we are supposed to see the bulk of our growth for the year. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them run a small class.

Hang in there...the airline isn’t going anywhere and the deliveries aren’t going anywhere. This is bound to be a tiny hiccup in a career lookback years from now.

Nice to hear a positive spin on things. Would be nice if we were able to know what number we are in the pool so we at least had a rough idea on wait time.

So a person I know in the pool just got called by recruitment. They are basically telling everyone not to expect anymore new hires classes till the end of the year.... sorry to deliver the bad news.

Also don’t expect that to be the last word either. They change their minds frequently. What I will say is that for someone who hasn’t interviewed yet then that’s more likely to be true. The current pool is several classes worth.

Some people I know in the pool also got the call. No classes until December (as of right now).

Wow if that is true, it’s unusual to say the least. Excluding those finishing training right now, we wouldn’t see a new hire on the line until almost next Spring. We are definitely overstaffed at the moment but I don’t think contract efficiencies can explain that big of a hiring gap. Something might be in the works behind the scenes.

If you are waiting keep your head up, maybe you’ll hear from your preferred airline/s in the meantime.

I know the rumor has been around for years.... but could also explain why spirit hasn’t announced a new aircraft order yet?

I also noticed Spirit just launched service to 7 cities out of RDU the same week Frontier announced additional cities out of RDU
