However, we seem like we want to invade AA hubs. PHL, MIA. We would probably invade Dallas if Spirit wasn't already well established there

Seems like Texas is a huge gap. Southwest isn’t even a direct competitor anymore and I think they are looking at rough times ahead. AA same boat. Maybe I’m biased cause I live here..

The interesting thing about ORD is that it pulls from the west half of the state, lower Wisconsin, western Indiana. That’s around 9-10 million people easy. If you moved the bulk of flights to BMI You will lose 6 million people. Bulk of those people will just go to Spirit or Southwest.

BMI can hardly keep air service at all ... unless you count the outfit that flies old worn out falcon trijets in empty, cuts them up, and ships them out in boxes on trucks...plus the airport fights CMI, PIA, SPI, and now DEC in its passenger catchment area, not to mention ORD and MDW, and to some extent IND and STL.
