1) it's an American hub and they seem to be the legacy we are most comfortable coexisting with
2) Spirit doesn't already have a large presence there
3) it's a good location to run redeye's from which allows us to have high aircraft utilization
4) it allows for year round outdoor maintenance
5) it's a market that Indigo is very familiar with
6) I think it will get Denver people to bid there allowing them to shrink Denver without displacements

It's certainly not a sure bet. However, it's got a few things going for it.

More than once I’ve heard FA’s tell me they’ve been told we wouldn’t have pilot bases where pilots don’t want to be... Could be the case after EWR being announced as only an FA base. Or it could be inflight’s way of pitting two groups against each other.
