Normal FO intro: "Hey I'm so and so, good to meet ya."

Embry Riddle FO intro: "I'm so and so from Embry Riddle. I graduated from Embry Riddle. I will be the best FO you ever fly with because I graduated from Embry Riddle. Did you go to Embry Riddle? Embry Riddle."

Already been doing it with Purdue University and ATP. I’ve heard mostly very good things about the ones who have come through to this point. The regionals have been hiring these guys for years now to fly their jets, so it’s not any more of a handful for our Captains than a regional Captain.

Hey so I’m big into Flight Simulator. I heard there’s a flow for MSFS/XPlane pilots who complete their part 107 to go directly F9. Something about F9 paying for all the additional training and the tuition reimbursement for the initial cost for the simulator and the part 107 course. I’m super excited to fly the Airbus. If I can skip the regionals that’d be awesome!

You could have actually made this funny if you’d have tried. Your open mic night is a failure. A bomb. I suggest reading up on the Mitch Hedberg delivery. You don’t have to be funny to be funny.

Don't really know why this is a thread, we've already been doing it as stated. Most legacy have been doing it and Europe has been doing it for years. If all they know is Airbus then there's no bad habits from the RJ that need work.

Plus let's be honest with ourselves.....at least they have experience at civilian airports and may actually be able to talk to ATC.

Bad Habits? Yhea. Who the heck wants to fly with people who can plan descents; and want to touch thrust levers more than twice a flight.... :-)
So far we'e done. decent job of hiring personable & capable people. I'm sure any ERAU grad hired here will be the same..

Ah guys & gals... I have felt your pain to come... At my USA carrier we had a time where we were hiring with as little as 400 TTL time... Here at my J-Airline the average time is 250 hr TTL time straight from the Civil Aviation Uni... Some are good... Some are bad... Some have good attitudes and want to learn... Others know it all and want to tell you such... When the young person becomes "super assertive" pull the q-card from your pocket and read the line that says "be nice", "go to your happy place" and "it does not matter"

We have one that used to be the Purdue head honcho, not very pleasant to fly with. “I’m from Purdue and I know more than you”says the 1 year FO barely passing his probation ride.
