Well I guess we don't all know it otherwise we wouldn't be asking the questions and getting wrong answers. If it's not a scheduled day off then there's no additional pay after 0200 (or vacation day after 1600 for that matter) but it also doesn't count as one of the 12 scheduled days off. "Day Off" is defined in the CBA as a calendar free from all duty with the company which occurs in a pilot's domicile.

Of course they are. There’s no doubt about it. This company will do literally anything to “avoid paying”.

the duty off time would be 12.10 (15 after block in)
We’re paid Duty Day, not calendar day.. much discussion about a remedy in the next contract but that will be quite the hill to die on…

I’m not super concerned with the trips that are scheduled in around Midnight. It’s the redeyes that are scheduled in between 4-8 am that don’t pay an extra day that really really really suck.

Parking pass question. System bid came out, got my transfer home. Only 1 month of commuting, I’m really happy! I see the instructions to submit the parking pass election and I remember a caution last week to do it before you forget and miss the window forever.

Alright so for the time being we’re all defaulted to $36, yeah? Form is due the end of Feb for the April award. If I turn it in now, do I keep receiving the $36 a month through March and then on Apr 1 I get the base parking? I’m not even going to bother with the LAS parking since I’ll only be there a month.

I believe you'll keep getting the $36, but turn it in now. It's not worth having missed that window because life gets in the way somehow. You'd have to transfer out of your base, and then back in to get parking again. It's so stupid, but that's the way it is. Also coordinate a couple weeks ahead with your base chief so things go smoothly. These applications have to go through airport beaurocracy which varies widely across the country.
