Frontier is currently fat on pilots and running classes of 48 with a multi month pool of guys waiting for class
I'm not saying that the pilot shortage won't eventually slow our growth plans, but it is not the cause right now. |

Yes, classes of 48 a month. That only ended up being a net gain of 40 pilots on the first 3 months of the year.
We have not been running classes of 48 since the beginning of the year, and as has been mentioned numerous times, we only need a net gain of about 200 pilots per year to reach our growth targets. What about this: https://www.dallasnews.com/business/airlines/2022/04/28/southwest-airlines-cuts-20000-summer-flights-boosts-hiring-to-brace-for-travelers/ Or this: https://www.bizjournals.com/newyork/news/2022/04/28/jetblue-cuts-summer-flights-new-york-airports.html |

Its about 11%. JetBlue decided to scale back to 5%.
The company got out ahead of it's skis with how many flights they put out for sale, and are now having to reduce CASM growth, but not reducing hiring plans. |

No, that's a CASM growth reduction. JB is planning to NET 700 new hires for 2022. Is 700/4500 more or less than 11%?

No trying to be rude here but what are you even doing in the Frontier thread? You’ve already displayed your disdain for ULCC as a niche market that will never surpass your own. |

And then had to make a Hail Mary pass to purchase Spirit, just to remain relevant in the airline industry.

Our hiring % is matching our growth %. How many pilots are we supposed to hire in your opinion?
