How long was it from app submission to hogan?

My app was in for seven months without hearing anything. I updated to reflect Frontier as an employer an A320 type rating and heard two weeks later.

Something Else to Consider

While on a WN jumpseat 2 weeks ago a WN Cpt told me how WN FOs are leaving in droves to the legacies.. I asked why, he stated; due to piling up debt paying for the hotel during traing and not getting paid while in training at WN. That blew me away. I dont work for F9 or WN and I never confirmed what he said was true. Something you might want to verify and consider if you are thinking about going to WN.

what were your times if you don’t mind sharing? Also those 4Ktt/ 2000121/ 500tpic are having those all together disqualifying or just 1 of the 3?

Well, everyone Ive talked to in the last few years has had their HOTEL paid for during training. Also you get 1st year pay out of the gate at min monthly guarantee. Not sure what your CA guy told you.. there may have been an incident where a new hire had to put a hotel on his credit card, which could totally happen, but SWA would reimburse immediately.

Good to know, glad to hear what I heard isn't accurate. It seemed hard to believe.

Thanks.

It‘a not accurate at all. Talk about out of touch with reality. I’m guessing that captain was super senior.

Has anyone here at F9 actually chosen it over WN?

I was F9 and got hired at WN but then while on a break from F9 before WN start, I got hired at UAL. Both were my top pics for a number of reasons. My friends at WN make a lot more $$$ than F9 in initial years because of their pay structure including getting 2nd year pay yr1 when picking up trip and have good schedule flexibility with more days off. From my research, the WN trips are a lot more productive than F9. For me, WN could of been a destination airline but when UAL called I decided to go that route. My times are no where near yours with 0 121 TPIC.

My time at F9 left me with the perception I would be way happier at WN. The aircraft type didn't matter for me. WN talks about customer service and improving it - F9 could care less about it nor improving it. You would never see F9 cover all the costs WN during the xmas melt down.

Go to WN hands down. You will get a call from UAL soon. Competitive requirements are an ATP and a heartbeat.

For my sake, I hope you’re right. I’ll have the ATP soon and have a heartbeat [most of the time…]
