I've actually flown Ryanair, and we could only dream that our passenger experience was as good as they are.
-No gate agents barking at passengers
-they actually dress professionally and not like they are going to a Taylor Swift concert
-the majority of their flights arrive and depart on time, in fact, they beat the European "majors"
-Their buy on board is product is far superior. Actual food, not just garbage.
-They operate consistently with 90+% load factors.

I read his post. He has a CJO. He will go to UAL at some point and he won't lose any seniority there. They have suspended hiring for two months. They are reducing fleet plans for 2024 by 22 aircraft. That means they can pause hiring. They will pick right back up.

I agree with you. Some of our younger pilots have never been through any type of hiccup in the industry let alone a 9/11, 2008 recession, or the age 65 retirement change all within 7-8 years. The two-month UA hiring pause and some domicile displacements aren’t even in the same ballpark as some UA or AA guys being furloughed for 11 years or getting stuck at some regional or charter job for YEARS. The lost generation of pilots won’t listen to the *****ing for very long without telling them to quit crying.
