1) NC gone
the NC had made no progress since the beginning of negotiations, had no leverage and no plan other then to keep showing up until until we get released. A strategy that may have worked save the fact that the Mediator is recommending his removal in the round about way he has to. If we keep sending the NC back the very core of our strategy is not going to work.
2) MEC QUIT
He quit. After a two month delay in meetings he quit, now he wants another two months because our now former MEC thinks he should chose our LECs. no negotiations for four more months.
3) Scheduling Chair
If we actually have a person who's job it is to deal with scheduling, trips and problems over the past few years. and you honestly think that person should remain at their job. Lets just leave it at this "If you want me to vote out 169 and 165 YOU ARE MAKING A VERY POOR CASE" - Either make a case or ****. Many of us are growing tired of your pearl clutching and whining.
If these people were function even at a low level this wouldn't be happening. At this point you sound like the MSM trying to convince the public Joe Bidan is "Sharp as a Tack" after his debate meltdown. If the Union was functioning you might have a pot to **** in or a leg to stand on. as it is you don't and you don't

Also, the mediator never recommended anyone's removal. That is false. The people in the room have confirmed it is false. Stop parroting this tired old MP talking point. That, coupled with his comms—wow, that guy truly has a strange relationship with the truth.
You want a plan and to fix this mess? Look no further than your printer and find the nearest pen to mail in a petition to recall LECs 165 and 169.
Need a form and don't know where to go? Ask the 163 or 167 reps—I'm sure they can point you in the right direction.

Retro pay is meant to make us whole for the period of company delay. Generally, you don't get retro pay for periods where the union is at fault for the delay.
I love when LEC 169 (MP) states, "This wasted over $70,000 of our membership dues," in his most recent communication when discussing the cost of an MEC meeting where he was (rightfully) denied a quorum by LECs 163 and 167.
Hey MP, how about the $70,000+ you took out of the pockets of every 12+ year CA at this airline in retro pay they will now (likely) not be receiving? Did you give that much thought before you pulled your stunt last week?

if you look through this thread it’s the same 5 people on this website frothing at the mouth calling for people in a different LEC to recall their reps. That’s 5 people out of 2300. If they think bitching and moaning on APC is going to get 169 to recall their reps they haven’t talked to very many 169 pilots. They want to talk about egos. MM flat out lied on those hit pieces he dropped going out the door. Kind of lets you know what kind of person and leader he was. We have a lot of smart, qualified and experienced people at this airline. I’m sure we can get those rolls filled quickly with motivated individuals. I swear if I heard “what are you willing to give up for that” one more time I was going to vomit. Instead of freaking out over this. Let’s find those people and pick up the ball and run, not throw more grenades and drag this out even further. That sounds like something a company plant or union buster would want to happen. Sack up!! .

That polling is garbage and old, taken before a lot of things have happened. As I pointed out previously, that polling shows that almost 80 percent don’t think the NC was doing a “very good job”. Have fun in your little APC echo chamber getting all fired up. You guys are now going to try and delay things even more trying to get whatever retribution you feel is deserved by doing the same thing you are that you feel somebody else did for what they felt as elected representatives of their pilot group. And doing so after many months of airport sits and discussions that they felt was for the betterment of our union. Chew on that for a while. Like it or not what’s happened has happened. Why don’t you pick up the phone or send an email and get the side of the story you supposedly know all about. And if you’re such an expert on everything that is going on, why don’t the lot of you volunteer for a position. You seem like you could make a great contribution. There are plenty of openings apparently. Seems to me that people resigning all over the place really weren’t in it for the pilot group they were in it for themselves and their buddies. There has been a concerted effort to oust MP since he took office as well as a concerted effort to put a “MM yes” vote in our FO rep spot. All spearheaded mostly by pilots that aren’t in 169 and one that holds a huge personal grudge. Why don’t you wait and see what happens before picking up a pitch fork and joining the angry mob. I know one of the pilots that is going to run for the MEC chair position and his credentials are stellar. You can’t possibly think that MM was a great chair. He basically admitted it himself. Let’s move on. This union will be much stronger going forward.
