The mediator canceled the session because of MM’s resignation. Until a new MEC is in place, we haven’t actually lost ground.

Let’s regroup, bring in a new NC, and get behind them.
Amen 🙌🙏 to that !

Explain what magical powers a new NC will have to force F9 into a contract given the limitations of the RLA?

Wrong, April was canceled because of FedEx, anything after that was because there is no NC (which was recalled and eliminated by 165/169).

And we all know the last NC had ZERO control over our progress. It’s like saying the Dallas Cowboys haven’t won a Super Bowl in decades because the Red Sox finally broke their curse. What’s sad is the company under new leadership was just starting to get engaged so hey, why don’t we shoot ourselves in the foot and postpone this a good 9 months. It’s ludicrous.

Default MPs Management Fly-Ins Timeline

  • March 2 2023 flyer sent to your company email from TPA BCP advertising 169 CA Rep sponsored fly in event
  • March 31 2024 flyer sent to your company email from TPA BCP advertising 169 CA Rep sponsored fly in event
  • Today - April 30 2026 email from ALPA 169 CA Rep touting the success of the 4th straight year of an event he co-sponsors with management
Since he has been elected CA Rep he has forced the recall or resignation of MEC Chairman, Merger Committee member, and all 3 Negotiating Committee members. He has not blamed management for any of our stalled progress to date. This is ok, why?

It’s not ok, it sounds like he has been in bed with management and together they’ve busted the union. Unbelievable.

There are 3 reps for each LEC. Recall them all.

If any of them would like to run again for their original (or even new/different position), let them. Then we can see who’s pilots backed whom.

Note: Be advised that means the recalled LEC reps CAN run for a MEC job.

lets get going on this…

Sure, but at what cost? They blew it all up over ego with no plan going forward.

We cannot elect a new MEC with a four to four deadlock. We are dead in the water until someone is recalled or resigns.

The MEC process has already been started. It will be the acting MEC chair JM or LEC rep ZR. No other candidates were nominated. It will be one of those two.

AND even when we do get a new NC it will take minimum 6-9 months to train them, bring them up to speed, and align them with the pilot groups asks. They don’t just hop right into the room and demand delta plus 1000%.

From what I understand, there's a motion to postpone the MEC process because of potential LEC recalls (which probably will happen). LEC rep ZR ain't safe either.

Honestly, the MEC seat is the least of our worries.
