Were there any injuries? Any lawsuits pending yet?

There should be an automatic locking mechanism that locks bins below 10,000ft. Makes it impossible to open them during an evacuation.

It’s possible that was their exact intent, making it an act of terrorism. They were not on that runway by accident.
Or maybe just passing through and really bad at frogger. Used to be common enough for illegals to try to cross airports near the border. |

Agree, that's been obvious for a while. Have to except the bins with emergency gear of course.
More likely just suicide, or mental health. Or maybe just passing through and really bad at frogger. Used to be common enough for illegals to try to cross airports near the border. |

Should be treated as domestic terrorism. Could have easily been a mass casualty event.
I'm often somewhat hesitant to lump simple silliness and/or mental illness into the terrorism bucket but this one is interesting... |

I suppose the investigation will reveal a LOT - as in, who dropped the guy off (or did he leave his car parked by the side of the road)? How did he time the run to coincide w/ the incursion? Was there any sort of instrument/weapon/etc in his hand or does it appear to just be an attempted suicide?

The infrared video is very ominous. Literally just taking a casual stroll on 17L

I feel bad for the crew for having to go through such a traumatic event. Good job on the rejection and evacuation.
They should have never evacuated on the right side. |

doesn't matter, this should be lumped as the same category as a mass suicide event. if he was successful, this is NO DIFFERENT than a German wings crash. Im kinda shocked our management hasn't pushed this. I would for sure sue his entire bloodline and anything and everything I could.
