[QUOTE=I like BIG Bus;4036291]Now, one more time for the hard of hearing. MM resigning is the reason we are delayed now. We can’t function at all without an MEC chair. Why don’t we have one? 163 and 167 put up a grossly under qualified candidate just to block the vice chair from being voted in to keep the delay going. By the way they are the ones who chose to no show an MEC meeting supposedly to stop a roll call vote to unseat MM, who showed he didn’t have the capacity to lead this union by quitting several months later anyway. So who is delaying the process further and helping the company?/QUOTE]
Do you really believe if MM hadn't resigned MP wouldn't have roll called a recall of the NC?
MP boned us all over a personal beef, and three other hapless fools helped

You mean we won’t get someone as keen and excellent as JL.Thank god!
So now that’s where we’re going to have to just disagree. I’ve worked with JL on FAPA and ALPA committees in the past and he knows what he’s doing. To the point where I called him and asked if he was bailing to another carrier because had he said yes I was tempted to hit submit on my UAL application. If you didn’t like our last agreement at the time you should have joined a committee instead of continuing to yell from the cheap seats.
To have zero negotiators from last round is going to waste months of time at best.

it’s a circular argument that goes nowhere. GM quit as well. Even though he would have been gone had 165/169 not screwed up math somehow. How is a guy in that position supposed to not resign? Yeah ok I’ll be a committee of one with a target on my back. GMAFB.

You would think a large majority of pilots would have to agree to recall the NC, to make a big move like that.
Interesting, so far it trend the opposite - yet our reps did it anyway.
When the representation no longer represents the pilots, what do we have left?

Honest truth is that probably 60% of pilots dont know what is going on with the union on a daily basis and they aren't signed up for textcasters or even checking their union emails...
Most do not agree with the NC recall, even if they do, they don't agree with how blatantly it was done at the first chance 165/169 could overpower via roll call.
165 and 169 need to have their own recalls in a meeting ASAP to see if that truly is what was wanted. They boned 2300 pilots because of some personal vendettas against "the good ole boys".
MP and JH keep claiming that the mediator said JL was hurting us more than helping... that is a half truth. People who were actually there said JL was too much of a hard ass against the company and they hated dealing with him. THAT is the kind of person you want on the NC. Any single one of the NC committee members would answer questions or give you reasons behind what they were doing and asking for and why you dont ask for more or keep expectations.
Now we have two LECs who think they can vote in some hardass people and go get a contract in a few weeks with ALPA training and never have been in a negotiation before. That isn't the case. You are not getting anything for AQP. an LOA for AQP is a NICE thing the COMPANY is giving us if we get one. They DO NOT have to do anything for us about AQP and can implement it at will. Any ask above and beyond for compensation or not implementing AQP until we get something is a slap in the face to the whole point of increasing safety which is the reason ALPA is here.
165 and 169 are telling half truths to keep their LECs misled and ruining the whole 2300 pilots as a result.
I am not in their LECs, and neither are a lot of pilots... So our voices just dont matter? The videos that surfaced of JH talking to a recurrent class was an absolute dumpster fire for someone who is supposed to have all the answers as to WHY they did what they did, but he stumbled over himself and spewed nothing of substance the whole 13 minutes. Because of these decisions for supposed reps of the pilots (themselves), now 2300 pilots are hosed out of negotiations for at least 6 months, and also losing out on probably 60-100k a piece due to the delay, which is a lot more than the 70k of a "wasted" meeting.
