Frontier Surviving?

Not a problem. Using the sale of Pan Am's Pacific division as a precedent, only the pilots currently holding A320 base positions could be sent to a new carrier with the F9 assets.
You may be too young to remember this, but there was a flurry of bidding to the whale when the UAL/PAA deal was going down. Anyone who wants to escape RAH needs to bid the A320 immediately.

It was much bigger than that. There were more players in the PAA deal. AA got alot of south stuff, DAL got the lion's share of Europe. Including the Frankfurt operation. There was a domicile in Frankfurt. You'd deadhead over on an L-1011, then fly "domestic" in and out of FRA for several days on the 727 before deadheading back home. Was a pretty sweet deal.
Anyway, as PAA fell, there were many, many "midnight sim-sessions" getting PAA guys off the heavies qual'd on the 727, so that when the axe fell, they were good to go with the airplanes.
Interesting stuff, and I hope the best for the Frontier guys and gals, but I gotta say, putting any stock in anything that BB says as far as your future........not so much. It's a gamble, but maybe better to get out and start building new seniority now than to wait. Problem is you won't know if that's the right move until it's all over.

Ooh, nice dig there at the end.

No one is putting any stock in what BB says. Every single FO, and a lot of the CA's should be filling out applications everywhere. A lot of them are actively applying and interviewing. With that being said, it would be questionable to jump ship at this juncture. We have been fighting for our lives for four years straight (actually many more than that but I'm just counting the years since BK) and we are finally at the precipice of a long and challenging road.
If the announcement doesn't shed significant clarity on our future you will definitely see a bunch of folks jump ship. Enough is enough.
The pilot group is not hanging around based upon the sermon of BB, in fact he has been hands off (publicly) for quite some time now. BB et al could care less about the Frontier pilot group, but their end game is mutually beneficial.
I think the outcome of this entire event may shock some people. I have always said that we may shut down tomorrow, or before I finish this post, but we may not.

Frontier is one of the certificates under the RAH umbrella. Right now RAH can hire on the Chautauqua, Republic, or Shuttle certificate... Wherever they need pilots. They have hired and upgraded on those certificates recently. Therefore, one could argue that Frontier could also hire or upgrade on it's certificate. If Frontier is sold, it seems pretty far fetched for RAH pilots to think they will have the ability to bid an airbus seat... even if the IMSL is still in effect.
