Just curious what one should expect for the first year in terms of annual take home pay and base?

Base? Probably Chicago or the yet-to-be-announced southeastern US domicile. Denver will be tough to hold once the new domicile is announced and the relative size of the Denver domicile continues to shrink. All this is my best guess and based on what I believe to be the typical experience of a new hire FO. I'm certain someone will come along within moments to claim that it's possible to make $50k in your first year. YMMV. |

$38,000 gross. Your take home pay is dependent on your tax situation--married, single, etc. along with you choice of benefits.

Wow, that's really low. My goal is a legacy but I was looking to get some 121 time for 12 months to help my chances. @38K would I be better off going to somewhere like Endeavor with the retention bonus or Trans States as a CQFO? I think annual pay is around 45-50K if I went that route.

Just out of curiosity and gathering opinion. Do you, or anyone else that can chime in, think I would better my chances as a 121 regional FO or continue as a 135/91 G550 Captain if my end game is DAL/UAL/AA/SWA?

American and United are telling NetJets pilots that don't have prior 121 or military time to get on with Frontier, JetBlue, or Sprit first if they want a chance of getting on.

Why would you ever quit being a G550 captain to be a regional FO? I think a move like that, if the goal is to be more competitive for a legacy, would raise many red flags to recruiters. They will wonder, was this applicant 'forced' to resign, etc. If you haven't gotten a call from your carrier of choice it's unlikely that its due to a lack of flight experience. If you are fortunate enough to be hired by any LCC/legacy, I'd take the job and keep working toward whatever your goal company is.
