They hired me and my qualifications are fairly similar. They also hired three retired AF colonels (F-15, C-141, and E-4 drivers), a Mesa check airman, a World MD-11 driver, a long time Pinnacle captain, an Evergreen guy, etc, etc, etc.

Oh forgot to mention.
You can put yourself on a 'want to fly' list which effectively puts you first out regardless of when you flew last.
You can also put yourself on a VJA voluntary junior assign list, which puts you at the beginning of the JA list. You're still not obligated to answer your phone if they call, but if you do, I'm pretty sure you're going.

When I was at the WAI conference I spoke to your recruiters, they seemed a little panicked about supply. They told me only 300 apps on file and about 150 of those met the minimums. They are trying to come up with solutions to attract people but apparently hitting a bit of a brick wall with new management. They said they might be able to cook up some kind of sign on bonus.
I'm one of those 300 sitting on 11.8K TT with 17 years Part 121 flying and still haven't gotten a call.

It's all about the job fair. They are hiring but not like the legacies. It appears they are getting enough people to visit them at these events to fill their interview needs without looking elsewhere our tapping into their pool of apps. I'm sure this will change but if you really want to be there suit up and visit them at one of the events that they are attending.

i was hired with 13.5k tt. 13.2k turbine. 12.9k regional 121. i'm no spring chicken as you can see....
they don't care about your creds. they are hiring personalities as has been mentioned already many times in this thread.
if you want a job, show up at a fair with a smile on your face and a good attitude about yourself and the company you work for now. that is all you need.
reading this, no one really needs to post on this thread how many bazillion hours they have and how they filled out the online app but are not getting a call. people keep posting the same stuff over and over but are not listening to what all the recent interviewees are saying.

i appologize for sounding crass, but perhaps reading comprehension is part of the interview? apparently, they want to meet you face to face before they invest an entire day with you in denver. go to a job fair.
