Frontier Hiring.
#2081
on my interview day, they said that the last class of new hires had a few denver awards. they said they didn't know for sure but most would get chicago. i know two pilots who have been at frontier for a little over a year. the guy who was awarded chicago said he was only on reserve for about 1 month. the guy who was awarded denver is still not holding a line.
here are my thoughts: denver is definately an f9 base. i doubt it will ever go away entirely. even if you don't get it out of training, there is a mathematical certainty you will be able to hold it eventually as the company grows. is it so bad to commute for a year or so?

I'm a July 14 hire... I have a relief line this month in den and a relief line next month in ord... I don't know who told you that info but there were 30 guys in the Jan 15 class and only a few got ord... They'll be hiring into den for a while... It may slow to a trickle but they need to backfill the upgrades going to ord

You probably have it backwards... The guys in den may have only been on RSV a month and the guys in Chicago are still on RSV... The guys hired last year who got Chicago are just getting off RSV in April

I have been told by pilots who conduct interviews that they prefer the face to face of a career fair as it is easier to judge if you will be a good fit versus what someone says on paper. I would say at this point that they are getting most of their candidates from job fairs. In short, unless you have a strong silver bullet or something else, if you want to come here you best get to a career fair.

Well, I applied a week ago and, within minutes, got a TBNT email. I guess Frontier is definitely considering PIC time. Unfortunately for us 8+ years FOs, not much we can do about it without paying serious dough and getting some PIC time. Good luck to all who are interviewing.
