If he or she does a decent job and is willing to learn, of course I'll sign it. If they can't fly for sh## and keep making the same mistakes, I'll remove them or myself from the trip.

Basically, what this memo is saying, is that we are going to be attracting less qualified talent than Legacy Air lines and "the Majors." So they want us to mentor them and give them enough gold stars like a kindergartener.

Oh please. At my old regional you needed 12 in your first year. Delta you need one from every captain you fly with first year. I think it’s good practice to keep an eye on new people and it also protects the new people from a bad rep if they have one off day or one person doesn’t like them. I for one think it’s good practice.

I can’t think of a worse place to be employed. The only reason I can see someone accepting the job is if they want a management position. although upgrade is three plus years, you can be a chief pilot in two years with no prior management experience.

The new latest falsehood management is telling “EVERYONE” is that the airline will grow 40% next year. This is a blatant lie. Their numbers for recruiting are down, so the easiest way to seduce suckers is to scream “growth”. They say they need 40 a class and maybe they’ll reach their goal of 20. This is a classic management technique. They don’t care that it’s a lie. They will do ANYTHING to achieve what they need to. Then, after paying for your own hotel, you will be stuck at a bottom feeder sh*thole airline commuting to reserve for $38 an hour. Please, for your sake and the sake of your families do not fall for these ploys. We are not set up to train that many people! There is NO WAY this airline can or will grow that much next year! It is impossible!

Who is saying this? The recruiters? All I’ve heard is 20+ per month, and a upgrade class every month next year. Highly subject to change of course.

Listen, you and I both know this place hasn’t churned out 20+ a month since like mid 2016 or so. And as for upgrades every month we also know this isn't true. They always pause for June/July and there is always an excuse for why we Aren’t producing as planned. Heck, they have already cancelled vacations in August because they can’t cover the flying, and that’s with light classes.
