Lurking in the forums and making career transition to regionals. Looking for mentor/reference/referral. Don’t expect anyone to do it cold; a bit about myself;

R-ATP Eligible
U.S. Army UH-60A/L/M Pilot in Command
Air Mission Commander / Final Mission Approval Authority (extra responsibility)
950 Total Time (830 Helicopter / 120 SEL) 270 PIC
Commercial Pilot ASEL / Rotorcraft Helicopter
Instrument Airplane / Helicopter

Completing AMEL and R-ATP minimums either self-funded, GI Bill, and/or RTP; anticipating prerequisites complete this summer and available for FAR 121 ATP-CTP and ‘ground school’ this September.

Looking to start a mutually beneficial network with all willing and equally contribute.

I can’t begin to express how beneficial and informative this forum has been; thanks for all the regular ‘posters’ and I hope to share the best practices as I make the jump!

So there you have it. Since the beginning of the Spirit flow program in November, GoJet has sent 1 confirmed person to Spirit. So at a rate or .25 persons per month and 570ish pilots on the seniority list that puts a new hire flow at 150 years. Let’s call it 75 to account for outside attrition.

In the meantime I personally know 5 pilots that have had their interviews cancelled or job offers recinded due to the flow.

Basically, if there is even a 1 in a million chance you might want to go to Spirit then you should go anywhere but GoJet. You have a better shot at getting hired outside the flow at one of the American wholy owned.

That's weird, I know like ten people who are at Spirit from the GoJet Pathway program. I am one of them. A lot of guys deferred due to first year pay, but I'm sure the new contract will get them onboard.

Exactly! There are 10 there, 11 on deferral right now most of which were probably waiting on the new contract. The program started in November. But keep up those rumors SEP-guy.

People CHOOSE to opt in to the pathway, so they are only going to send people that ask to go.
Something tells me the program is much more attractive now considering the new contract.

Well that’s great. What are their names? Where can I see a list of the successful Spirit flows? When is the next Spirit class? And what GoJet pilots are in that class?

You can claim we are sending 50 pilots a month, but until we see actual confirmed names it’s just like every other GoJet recruiting attempt. Smoke and mirrors.

I can contact pilots at any of the AA wholly owned and get the names of every pilot that has flowed in the last year. Why is that info at G7 such a closely guarded secret?

I’ve never said the program isn’t attractive. I’m saying the program is a lie.

The flow is still in a stage of infancy. I’d give it some time for actual numbers to be posted and like other guys stated above there were a bunch of people who deferred for a year but now that the pay is up over at spirit expect to see a good number of guys headed that way.
