No slots for transition initial courses.
This is why a lot of us transitioned during the pandemic.
Gotta play the long game!

Then why have they been offering ERJ-CRJ transition upgrades the last few months??

Got 240 people on the pipeline. We also have Captains leaving and going to ULCC and Legacys which doesn’t help. People leaving in training to go to a AAWO or somewhere else. Which btw is this industry making a lateral move is a no no. Doesn’t look good on a resume…

G7 gave up about 1200 ours of flying back to United.

Other airlines have given back too. It’s not just G7.
It’s EVERYONE.

It definitely is a wake up call to managment. I’m sure they’re ready to talk to the union and talk contracts.

3 out 4 of United Aviate airlines are bleeding. I’m sure it’s known at United and they’re trying to come up with a game plan. Because the Aviate program still isn’t enough to attracted people to come and go else where. Americans new $180K retention bonus. Delta now having a flow through with Endeavor. The Aviate program is still a interview process just liked the street interview and people still aren’t getting in? So why stay at C5, G7, or Air Whiskey when you can go to a AAWO and guaranteed spot at AA in 7+ years. It’s a safety net and people like that.

true story. All aviate is, is the EXACT same process as off the street. Except you get the privilege of flying at a United regional partner for 3 years. Can’t believe people can’t see through it. CPP was much better.

That's like 40 hours a day... so, like four planes' worth of flying?

Not true. Many have tread water. Some of us have been picking up others' flying.

If management starts telling your union that they've inked an extension with United, start sending out apps. That's how the Delta flying went.

Wasn’t a. Letter sent out yesterday?

If I read a letter like yesterday I would be NOT accepting any CJO and would be actively looking somewhere else even in class. The airline is swirling around the drain will be 3 for 3 by the end of the year.

Commuting IAH-EWR

Anyone currently commuting to and from Houston - Newark? What's it like? Are there plenty of options both ways and are the 4 commuter rooms per month sufficient?

I commute from Houston. Honestly it has been that bad to and from Chicago… just started EWR. Again haven’t had an issue yet. Waiting for the day I’m trying to fight the jumpseat with a ComodeAir guy.

Living in Newark area and suggestions ...

Hi all

As you can see, I'm an absolute newbie to the APC forum. I've taken up a role with G7 and have been assigned EWR as a domicile. My question centres around " where do most of the G7 pilots live ? " or to be precise, " Where is a good safe location to live ? ". I'll be stuck there for at least 12 months until I can transfer out of there to ORD or STL, so may as well make the most of it and get the research done and choose wisely. Noting like being over prepared and over researched. I was thinking South Jersey, around the Middletown area for eg. Train line to EWR, relativly safe, 30 mins from the airport.

Any information is most appreciated. Open to all Newark suggestions and comments.

Thanks so much.

Do you know of any pilots who live in EWR and whast it like say in Jersey City for eg. Just about to start class in STL.
