IOE wait is 2-3 months minimum at the moment for FOs. Supposedly that's coming down with smaller classes but LCA's are leaving faster than they're being produced, so the backlog of 80 or so guys is not being cleared. |

Depends on the 4 other CJO’s. Mesa, Air Wisconsin, SkyWest, CommutAir, & Republic all pay lower. If Aviate/United is what you want, then GoJet is the best choice.
Next choice is which has the easiest commute & best commuter benefits? (Some will argue this is the first choice to make). There is much more to total pay than the pay scale. |

Payscales can be very misleading. An Ord standup to FWA would pay about 4 hours at GJ but 6.5 at Skywest. A 4 day trip at most regionals would have a guarantee of 16.5 hours ( 4 and 1/8 per day) but at Gojet the first day of the trip has to have an early start and the last day has to have a late ending in order to have min guarantees. The part about the min daily guarantee is false. Its a min 4 hour day regardless of start or end time. What you said used to be true but was fixed like 3 or 4 years ago by LOA.
A pilot comparing jobs needs to learn all these things before he commits. Also, if you are paid a bonus, what happens if you leave a few months later or a couple of years? Is the bonus contract in writing? Republic's old training contract required you to pay them 24k if you left in the first 2 years or if the company went out of business. |
How are the training footprints and reserve times looking these days? Considering coming over from another company whose training delays are egregious and commuting to EWR from the southeast. Thanks!

Training dept is saying most if not all the down time gaps have been filled in. youll go indoc systems sims ioe to the line almost, ALMOST, back to back. Biggest delay will likely still be between check and IOE but ive heard of ppl getting called within a couple weeks of checking.
