Default GoJet Wingman Cadet Insight

I was offered an invitation into the GoJet Wingman cadet program, and am looking for a little more insight into the program. The website advertises a 2 day trip to GoJet HQ, company badging, and unlimited flight benefits on United. Is there any contractual commitment for how many hours you must fly for GoJet if you do join the program? I’m excited about this opportunity, just want to make sure I have all of the information correct before committing to the program. Thanks!

Like a senior hooker with gum disease, who changed names but still work for the same pimp, Gojet looks mighty fine in dim lighting. But she's got the clap, the drip and the gooey stuff, and may be the deadliest catch you ever make.

Are you suggesting we wear Jimmy's if we're on a go jet flight?

It all sounds good, until you realize you cant even list yourself for your own flights and have to get someone at the company to do it for you (from what I've been told).

Even still, if you're interested in GoJet because of the Aviate program and "flow" to United, there are MUCH better options other than GoJet, especially as an FO. Literally every Regional pays their FO's more than GoJet, are more stable, and it will likely take you a minimum of 2 years to get your 1000 hours to upgrade... and that's if the company is still even a thing by then.

Congratulations on your Wingman invitation! There is no commitment to join the program, so it's actually a good tool to use as a resource for deciding where you might want to end up and answer some questions about commercial flying that you may not even know you had. The visit itself is pretty fun, they put you in the SIM and let you sit in on one of the new hire classes for a bit. Getting to see the hangar and sitting in the flight deck of a 550 is a nice little perk too. Looks good on a resume and there's a good network of other wingmen/pilots you come in contact with through the program.
