Gojet

Are people still hating GoJet?.....or are they now the same of other regionals?

JoeyMeatballs 05-18-2008 02:45 PM

They are the bottom of the barrel, always have been, always will be

freezingflyboy 05-18-2008 02:47 PM

I think you can answer your question by looking at the scabs at CAL. It's been 20 years since they crossed the line and most folks still hold the grudge. It's a small world, be prepared to live the choices you've made.

ExperimentalAB 05-18-2008 03:12 PM

I forget, soldierboy...did you end up taking that job w/them?

Are the Kennedys gun shy?

TBucket 05-18-2008 03:55 PM

Let's just put it this way, it's in all their hotel agreements that they get a separate van from other crews.

haahah wow I did not know that, go figure.

ExperimentalAB 05-18-2008 04:21 PM

Y'all should hear some great stories about why those words came to be in GoJet hotel contracts :D I'll give it to the TSA guys - they sure know how to play LoL

HercDriver130 05-18-2008 04:21 PM

When the guys are so PROUD of who they work for that they turn their badges around while walking around FSI in a vane attempt to not be pegged as a go-jetter...that says it all.

ExperimentalAB 05-18-2008 04:22 PM

They can be spotted a mile away in the Terminal...Trying to pass themselves off as United Pilots with their silver bars

Stories Stories Stories!!! I want Stories!!!

reevesofskyking 05-18-2008 04:39 PM

Some of them must be breaking contract then, I have been in the van with them several times. It is a quiet van ride.
I have also had the van come back after we have called them and the gojet crew has told the van driver we were cancled back in ORD and were not coming to the over night. This has been the nights we followed them in to the airport. That is what ****es me off when they tell the van driver we are not coming and to go on without us..

Agreed. The last two times I have overnighted in IAH, I have shared a van with Mesa crews both ways to and from the hotel. So they are either breaking their contract, or that clause doesn't exist in their contract.

Mesa? I thought we were talking about GoJet?

FYI, United pilots wear thin gold stripes, not silver bars, so they cannot be confused as United pilots unless you don't know anything about airline uniforms.

We all know that, including ExperimentalAB. If you read between the lines you'll see that he’s pointing out GoJetr's reliance on others ignorance in order to pass themselves off as UAL pilots.

Bottom line, I respect all pilots except those working for GoJet and my opinion will not change tomorrow, next week, next month, next year or next decade. If you work for GoJet, there better be a seat in the back because you won't be riding in my jump. EVERYONE else is ALWAYS WELCOME and I look forward to meeting you.

cl601pilot 05-18-2008 05:42 PM

Like Rodney said. Can't we all just get along?

ExperimentalAB 05-18-2008 05:47 PM

We are getting along ;)

Trash,
GO! is part of Mesa, not gojet. Get your facts straight before you post. Mesa is not Go Jet:mad:

I can't believed you started another thread involving gojet, when you already know how the majority of pilots in the industry think of them. I am starting to think that you would fit in real good with them. You are both one in the same.

belliott 05-18-2008 06:14 PM

With the current economic status do you think that GoJet will survive or not? If I am not mistaken they are a cheaper version of TSA correct?

ExperimentalAB 05-18-2008 06:17 PM

GoJet will survive...not thrive.

Just like a cockroach...its not going away...sadly...

belliott 05-18-2008 06:22 PM

Alright thanks.... too bad that they won't go away...

ksatflyer 05-18-2008 06:37 PM

Does Go Jet have a union now?

Teamsters. And all I had to do was go to airlinepilotcentral.com and look at their profile. Wow that was hard.

Not.

FOblondie 05-18-2008 07:04 PM

Let me just say I dislike gojets as much as the next person....But do they really turn their badges around or does that just happen? I mean half the time I look down that thing is backwards.

ehaeckercfi 05-18-2008 07:06 PM

I see them put their badges in their shirt pocket sometimes.

ExperimentalAB 05-18-2008 07:07 PM

Much like you have the issue of the badge turning itself backwards, their issue is that their badges sometimes turn themselves back forwards...So instead, they usually opt for the "badge-in-breast-pocket" method which completely obscures said GoJet badge from view...

It's hard to imagine...you really have to see it to believe it, but they really do hide their credentials!

Killer51883 05-18-2008 07:18 PM

wow this thread was started a whole 5 hours ago and its grown this fast!! its amazing what mentioning go jets will do to a forum.

What sort of person will voluntarily screw their carreer and go to gojets? I get mesa if you live in CLT or IAD but if you live in STL you have TSA and CHQ. Do they really turn their badges around? I bet security really likes that.

Sweet... Where can I meet one?

ksatflyer 05-18-2008 07:21 PM

Guess I should have phrased the question differently and said "DOESNT Go jets have a union now," so that it would sound more like the rhetorical question I meant it to be. Just wandering if the go jet bashing is still due to union issues since they are now with teamsters. Oh, ah super pilot jesse, that means a question that doesnt necessarily need an answer, especially one like yours and dont get mad just because people are bashing your company.:D

Powned

JungleBus 05-18-2008 07:24 PM

I think people are still pi$$ed. We have a ex-gojetter at Compass and he's known as "the gojet guy." Definitely a stigma attached. 'Course he's also known for groping FAs....

Im new to this east coast thing. I will have to keep my eyes open. Maybe I will have someone take a picture of me with one. I will post it for sure.

YES! That is better than getting a picture made with Santa or something.
