A lot of talk about jumpseat denial. I'll add my two pennies and mention that we just had a b***h of an FO from Deltroid demand our JS a few trips ago. The CA just looked at her and told her to wait in the jetway. During that time I heard the oxygen masks being tested on both sides (yes includes mine) for an extended amount of time. For safety reason, I wanted to make sure my mask worked properly. She didnt make the flight!!

My point here is it's not my JS to deny but I'll damn well push to make sure any GJ (specifically CA) will not make it on.

It's like drain-o, cleaning out any progress we make for a better future.

Ya I misread the original post, I thought the poster asked what he would think of me going there. Other UAL guys, I have no idea honestly, I would guess mixed emotions. I can not give a good answer, ask someone from UAL directly. I think they don't see the bigger picture at the regional level because they already have too much crap going on there.

And says, sure maybe those scabs out there got ahead a little bit. But is proud to not be the brown eye of the industry. Helped to show the regulators guys like Lorenzo can never ever be in this industry again, and at least tried to prevent the management mentality that pilots could be sold out (at the time).

Sure the old man could be a 777 capt at somewhere like CAL if he had chose to be a scab. Instead he is a narrow body captain at UAL, but at least he doesnt have to think twice every single time he eats a crew meal, drinks from a cup passed up by the FA, or asks for a jumpseat. He stands behind the few good wages left in this industry, and made sure a guy like Lorenzo would never work in this industry again.

The joke will be on the GOJET guys when they interview at places, where people have the mentality that they are one step above a scab, and TRUST ME it is EVERYWHERE, even the mainline guys, esp those forever FOs that are less than 10 years away from being the people on the hiring board.

Just think back to the 90s, NO MAJOR wanted to hire a scab, because of the level of dispute it created in the work place. This isnt the last time you will see things like this. Everyone is in a big race to the majors, but when they do hire, they do not want PROBLEM, and GOJET will STINK of them.
The premise of GJ is no different than any other regional, it's created to undercut, period. I work at a "good" regional and I'm willing to accept the fact it was created to lower the bar. I suppose people need to bash someone to make themselves feel better about where they are. We are not any superior, we're all sharing the bottom of the barrel, no matter how much you wish it ain't so. You are awfully opinionated for only being hired on with a regional what, 6 months ago.

I'm not religous but the premise of your proposition is entertaining....

Your Colossians 3:13 says....
"Make allowance for each other’s faults"

By quoting this you are acknowledging that it is a fault to goto gojets and undercut your brother. People that did this are knowingly doing it.

Therefore, once you knowingly admit a fault, which in this case is considered "stealing" in the 10 commandments (TSA pilot profits stole to buy gojet aircraft) everyone should automatically forgive you?

What about this one?
Romans 12:10

"Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor."

Brotherly = not breaking union brotherhood
Outdo one another = not undo/undercut one another

How is the TSA pilot, or anyone else undercut by gojet supposed to "MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIFE" when others are stepping all over them? How does that TSA FO move on with their life trying to pay bills when the GJ CA took their upgrade and growth opportunities? Some brotherhood that is.

If gojet gets a dtw base I hope their pilots move there otherwise getting to work is going to be pretty hard with 5 alpa carriers being based there all losing flying because of delta's decision. There is not enough sand bags we could use you douche bags for ballast though if you want
