3. The one big thing for me was that I had to fight multiple times to get it all straightened out. Meaning, I had to send emails after each paycheck after I left to get it right. Not a huge deal as they fixed them for me, but just watch out to make sure. They were actually all very nice and made sure they got it right in the end. It just took two extra paychecks to do it. Had one problem with my hourly rate and the second was my missing vaca pay.

All and all, not a big problem for me. I left on good terms and the CP (newest one that I know of right now), base manager, and payroll manager were all very nice and helped me through the whole thing. I am not a pro-regional anything, I am just telling you exactly my experience. Yes, I left months ago and haven't looked back. Just kind of funny, because I found these posts and at least wanted to get what I have seen out there..... Easy for me to say now though..... I am at my dream job and couldn't be happier...... Good luck to all!
Congratulations!!! I am glad you made it out of that hole. Sorry you had to make it a full time job out of trying to get your hard earned money.

I hope that those prospect applicants or at least those considering GoJet as a stepping stone really dig through the information shared in this thread. Can't say we didn't tell you the truth.

Good luck to all, you deserve to be treated with courtesy and professionalism.

I left a long time ago and also did not get pulled out of CASS after I put in my notice. What I found funny was they required you to return all of the brass (which I didn't want anyway) so I tied them to fishing string then tied the string to my bumper and drove around the block. Put them in the box and sent them back to Hulie. I threw my hat in the crew room trash as I walked out the door for the last time. Greatest feeling ever to leave that place. Flew with a ton of awesome former TWA & Chicago Express guys/ladies there.

From what I have been hearing, Line holders have to submit in writing to crew scheduling anytime they wish to pick up open time. Reserves have been getting all the open time (against the contract) without allowing Line holders to pick them up. This saves the company lots and lots of money. So expect to fly while and reserve, and when you are able to hold the line expect to fly at min days off and min guarantee and Junior Manned.

Beech90, you sparked my curiosity. Why do you continue to look into GoJet even after all the information available (current and past) to you. I can tell you that nobody here is lying and its all accurate. Some may have had a different experience while quitting or during their first new hire class but, doesn't mean they aren't true. This just highlights GoJet's inconsistency in the way they do business.

Do they have a base where you live?

I'm interested in Gojet as they have a base where I live. Move along.

I can certainly appreciate the desire to want to be based at home. It's probably easier to be home based for a crappy job than commute to a really good one.

There are a lot of really good guys there at GoJet that I had the opportunity to fly with for a couple of months, so none of what I'm about to say is a knock on them, but here are some thoughts you might want to consider.

If you live in STL take a good hard look at Trans States. There's a fresh rumor floating around the board about them getting a lot of new growth, and if that happens, and you're at GoJet, they'll be no crossing over.

If you live in ORD, again, look at TSA or SkyWest. Yes, the upgrade at GoJet is probably shorter, but these days, perhaps not by too much. Better company, and you're going to make more money.

If you live in DEN, make sure and get some current info on how senior that base is, and how large it is. When I left, it was still pretty small and very senior.

If you live in RDU, probably better in a lot of ways to just go to PSA and drive to CLT. Also, the rumor is that as Delta increases 717 flying in LGA, there will be less of a reason to have an RDU base, and maybe it goes away. The latter rumor is totally unsubstantiated, but within the realm of possibility.

Just my random thoughts on the matter.

"Move along" huh, you know what...nobody here is wishing you a bad career. In fact, everyone here is going out of their way to pass along accurate and insightful information. You are very ungrateful and might get along with GoJet management just fine. The great pilots at Gojet do not deserve to fly with someone like you. How about, you move along.

Supposedly 40 crews in DEN by 1st QTR 2015. United has been wanting more of G7 in DEN for a while and less in ORD (right from the DO at my last recurrent).
