GoJet updates

Hey GoJet pilots here is a little free information for you! Just because a pilot is in full uniform sitting on your aircraft doesn't mean he is an offline jump seater who didn't check in. Some of us fly for companies,135 operator, who actually pay for our tickets to and from work. So next time you have an FA go grab me from the back and you start lecturing me about how CASS works ask me who I am first. I loved seeing your face after you found out I was a paying passenger and I was going to contact your chief pilot directly. The upgrade to first class was nice, but its still going to be more fun letting your company know why we pushed late.Just remember your place in this world gojet guys and gals, I understand it can be frustrating not paying your bills, eating every other day, and asking mom and dad for help so JR can have a birthday this year, but until you can learn to be professionals, demanded to be treated like professionals, and act like one this sort of crap will continue.
I know how you feel . you can't blame a gojet guy for checking . I have seen the same thing happen when I was at eagle, captain calling out the pilot to come up front because cause he didn't check in. even though he did not need to since he had a seat and was non rev with the company just as any other family member would .
to avoid this is simple step in and say hi. takes a sec . pilots don't bite or don't travel in uniform lol
happens everywhere
sorry he had to be a dumb fart about it .

Hey boss, calm down a bit a see his view maybe. This has been a reacurring thing and many js people do not check in. I have seen it many times. I don't blame him for checking. Doesn't hurt to check. By the way I have been in your shoes and have been asked before too. I do not blame them and would not turn him into a cheif for that. Remember, eventhough a js seater may not be qualified to fly the ac, you could still be of assistance if there is an emergency. You may not be a js, but I don't blame him for checking. Good crm too to have an fa check so he can complete his preflight duties as well.
if he was rude to you though, that isn't cool. I know it sucks commuting and a welcome aboard from the crew always makes it nice. Not trying to justify everything, I am just trying to tell you I have seen too many known js people not chrcking in, so I don't blame him for checking. My two cents to it from both views of the industry as I have been on both sides of the table...

Half a million flights in the books for g7 and you know of two that have gone badly. I see a trend here too. The captain gave him first class after he realized what he did. That sounds pretty fare to me. We all bone things up once in a while. If you guys cannot admit that then damn..... I am sure the captain came at him a little hard or else he would not have felt the need to type out that scathing review. For that I am sorry, but if you have any type of head on your shoulders you would expect this to happen from time to time if you are riding in full uniform. It happened to me before. Delta. Captain apologized and offered me a first class meal and tried to get me in first but it was full. I turned down the meal and shook his hand. It was not a big deal. He was way more upset about it than I was. Sounds like you handled it like a total badass though. Get em boss. You showed us.

The fact that you took the upgrade and are still going to be a nark speaks volumes to you as a person as well.

Need some help. I've spent the day scouring countless GoJet threads and now I'm more confused & frustrated than ever.
I'm a furloughed pilot, been furloughed for a year, can't find a flying job and I'm looking at applying at GoJet. My main attraction to GoJet is the quick upgrade. Recruiters I've spoken with at other regionals have told me I'm looking at 5 years to the left seat at those regionals.
I know the definition of a scab, (I was ALPA committee member at the airline I'm furloughed from). Some pilots say flying for GoJet is scabbing, an equal amount of pilots say not. Some say you're a scab "in spirit". What the heck is a scab in spirit. Correct me if I'm wrong, but GoJet pilots aren't crossing picket lines or flying stuck work or taking anyones job. I'm confused
Also, how will being a GoJet pilot affect me when applying at a legacy airline.
Regarding jumpseating, Some people say GoJet pilots get denied jumpseats all the time, an equal amount say that's not true. These forums are ALL over the place regarding the truth to being denied jumpseats.
(Mods: please don't delete my post, I'm just a freight dog seeking honest answers and trying to avoid drama.)
Please help, Thanks!

Upgrade is a year or two out for those of us already on property. Not a great place to work. Not an terrible place to work. Never denied a jumpseat nor do I know of anybody that has. Pilots have moved on to every major and LLC. I get asked what a GoJet is when I ride up front.

Is the skd pretty commutable?
Airline profile for GoJet says that most junior captain (non-direct entry) hired is Dec 2012 (STL). Are they hiring entry level capts, especially now with the ATP requirement kicking in?
and regarding my scab questions, any opinion on that?
thanks
