You come on the Gojet updates thread and say we started the race to the bottom, then plead ignorance when challenged?

If your going to waste your day taunting G7 guys, it's best not to make yourself (and your respective pilot group) seem ignorant.

Interesting. Just got an email offering a slot in a March class should one become available. I guess there is a Mar class after all.

someone challenged what i said by saying, "well what about compass?" Clearly they and you are misinformed if you think compass is similar to gojet. My point still stands, you haven't named another regional airline in recent history that did to the industry what gojet did. Like I said, people aren't picking on gojet as much because PSA is the most recent to do worse. Stop trying to justify to yourself why you went to a backstabbing regional. It's the same crap the PSA guys are saying to deny and/or justify why it's ok they sold out the entire industry

All regionals are guilty of under cutting. Every. Single. One.

Going back and looking at the emails it looks like they could've been referring to my class date being pushed back, rather than the class as a whole.

Absolutely. Go ask an Aloha guy what he thinks of Mesa. Go compare what a Delta crew makes flying 110 seats in a 717 to an RAH crew flying a 190. Compare Horizon 700 rates to SkyWest. Compare what a CommutAir Q300 crew flying 50 people makes vs any other regional flying 50 seat equipment, then compare CommutAir Q200 rates to what Horizon pilots got paid flying the same exact metal.

The real issue in this dysfunctional sandbox called the regionals is how they ever got so large in the first place and why are so many 60+ airplanes are flying "regional" routes that span several time zones.

If the regional pilot population as a whole wants to bring their little wiener waving contest into their enevitable mainline careers the only thing you'll accomplish is inflicting the continued existence of the regionals and their low wages into pilots entering the profession beyond us.

For those that want to get their panties in a wad about the whole GoJet / TSA imbroglio, especially if you never even worked there, consider this: I was in a G7 jumpseat the other day, the Captain had about 6 years with the company, and commutes weekly on TSA.

Move on, get over yourself, network, network, network, get yourself a major airline gig, and when you do, make sure your elected reps know that the continued existence of scope that allows that much flying at the "regional" level needs to be reigned in.
