TSA or GoJet for a 1500tt pilot
#21
I have friends that work at both and that have worked at both... I would pick TSA hands down. GoJet not having any cancellation pay will hit your bank account hard. And DO NOT believe the recruiters who tell you they do in fact have cancellation pay, because they don't. They will lie to your face to get you to do anything to sign the piece of paper. That is a huge red flag for any regional airline. The "quick upgrade" at GoJet doesn't exist now and hasn't existed for a few years. How do I know? I have friends who have been in the right seat there for 3+ years. At a crappy company. With a joke of a contract. Who have to constantly fight to get pay that is owed to them. That's right, they have to fight for what is rightfully theirs every single month. A friend of mine who quit GoJet a few months back got his final check from the company. Instead of paying him his 3 year FO rate for his credited hours, he was paid at 1st year FO rate at minimum credit. What a joke... Run, don't walk from GoJet.
That being said, TSA is the better choice of the 2 places you are considering. More growth and a decent contract. But I would caution you to carefully consider your options... Literally every regional is hiring right now, and in my opinion, there are better options out there.

your opinion? ...that statement only becomes true if you live in one of your bases...
other than that...TSA, PSA, Compass or even Piedmont
but for the love of the spaghetti monster...don't go over to GoJet. (in the school house everyone will ask you why and you won't have a good reason ever)

While the past a Gojet has been rough, talk to a current pilot or two first.

Gojet isn't that bad, people on these forums are still super butt hurt over something 5hat happened in 2005. As of now it looks like the contract negotiations are going well something on the table by June hopefully.
