If you want to get your time and move onto something bigger, than seriously look at GoJet and snag the 10 grand signing bonus. I agree 100% with the review that was given. Management knows we are a commodity and they get that now. It's not all roses here but it could be way worse. You'll love the pilot group and learn something new everyday.

If you have the chance to go anywhere else, and you do, go anywhere else. Gojet was not my first airline when I naively arrived. Others have basically just told you that the management here is about the same as other regionals. They tell you that because that is what they tell themselves. It is not. They may not know any better because they have not seen the difference and they have been lucky enough not to find themselves on the wrong side of a situation where the management has a financial reason to get rid of them. If they stay long enough they will.

I came from Comair too. I had heard and expected it to be bad, but I needed that golden PIC time! It was far worse than I had ever imagined. Go anywhere, AND I MEAN ANYWHERE, other than Gojet. It will destroy the spirit that got you into this career. I was getting ready to get into sales when God shined his light down on me and rescued me from that hell hole.

Sorry you had a bad experience. For most of us pilots, this just isn't the case. I've worked at another regional and the treatment that I received from management from both companies is exactly the same. It's a freakin' regional right? I chose GoJet for a better Base, QOL and quicker upgrade. It's worked out great for me. I'll do my time, do my job and move on like you. Glad to hear you found greener pastures.
Hollywood had put the entire thought process that 977flyer and I have used in order to maintain our positive attitudes into the movie Coneheads. We are the second guy going in to fight the Garthok:

Pilots learn to take a bad situation and look for the best course of action for the circumstances. That is what our training is all about. Come to Gojet and battle the Garthok! It has weaknesses and you can take him!

I love it! "For most of us pilots, this just isn't the case". That translates into, "How can they do that to people, why did I come here, oh my god, what did I do? But, I'm ok for now, if I don't look, if I don't end up having anything happen that requires the use of the company's self-insured medical plan, then I will be ok and make it through. I'm a survivor, I've survived before and will do it again! Stay positive and put on a happy face!"

I went to a interview the other day. Positive space to and from the interview with hotel which is nice. Recruiter was honest during the interview and didn't paint the place to be perfect by any means. They are having a tough time staffing right now and are shooting for 35 pilots a month till the end of the year at least. I have read all the bad and know what I would be getting myself into if I came here. Upgrades are quick and the pilot group is a lot of fun from the people I have met. I took a CJO for a Sep 8th class.
