You have to know the G7 rules and follow them and you can make it through. But a lot of guys just want to do it their own way and it gets them in trouble. Some make it through ok but not many. If you come to G7 don't count on moving up to a major. Check rides are a way to punish guys and gals at this place. If they hear you tell a FA that they should vote in a union you will be gone by the end of the day. The smart pilots and FAs don't even go to the crew room between flights for fear they might say the wrong thing. It is best if nobody knows your name.

We need more guys to fly the planes. What better way to stop a guy from leaving than to fail him on a checkered? I think the fail rate will increase. Don't tell anyone you have a new job and will be leaving unless you want a final check ride. All common sense.

Good bunch of guys and the FAs are great but if you say the wrong thing, even joking, you better watch out. Come informed. Accept G7 or what it is. Don't come here thinking it will change or that you will change it. Somebody has to be at the bottom. Yes, the turnover rate is very high but that means quick upgrades, fast seniority. If you want the good you need to put up with the bad. I get a kick out of hearing guys complain after they get to G7, they knew what they were getting into before they came but they lied to themselves because they wanted the quick upgrade! How did they thing that quick upgrade would happen unless those above left or were fired?

Come to G7 as your last airline, not your first.

July 25th will be the first flight for the 900.
My view on G7...on board since Feb, got my bonus on time, reserve for 1 month then got a line. getting my 4 commuter hotels with no problems, never had a problem to LIMO my DH if it was my first or last leg of the trip. I'm already in the middle of the seniority list in my base, flying with great guys and gals. never heard from anyone above (management) since indoc. everybody speaking freely in the crew room.
I just know that if you'll do your job, nobody will bother you...so far, life is good!

Wow, he has been there 4 months and seen it all! Remember that the lamb doesn't see the wolf until the very end. Ignorance is bliss. I saw so many people fired there with no fault on there part. One check flight attendant was injured when the plane was being pushed and the tow bar broke. They fired him. Hard to believe but there are many examples like that.

Looks like I might still be stuck in STL had I stuck around. Truth be told though, I think I'll end up at the first LCC that calls me.

Seriously, take a step back and reflect upon your numerous unsuccessful attempts at gaining employment with higher sought after regionals. After multiple failed interviews, and failed training event; What makes you think you're just going to head to an LCC at a moments notice? 👌
