So are you guys saying that this is a bad TA that should have been burned down? A quick glance at this and it looks similar to what we have at CPZ

Just some things of note: 4 hour min day with zero on days that start after and finish before a certain time. And I believe it's trip guarantee, not leg by leg.

It's not industry leading. It's not as good as Compass and not as good as TSA's TA

Ah, that makes sense; minus the uggos (JA, <100% DH, cancel pay once notified (?) ) there are a few things there I wish skyw had (200% open time, customs pay). Devil is in the details.

At 200% I'd be interested in helping out again.

Just so we are clear, the new contract didnt send Republic to bankrupcy. I'm sure their guys can chime in but my understanding of filing bankrupcy is to do what Mesa did, shed unprofitable aircraft. The contract should stay. I think Republic will come back pretty strong after this.

Nothing will tell you more about what life is like at Gojet than this TA passing. The pilots of Gojet are as scared as sheep so that is how they act. Vote for this or we will shut you down and turn the flying over to TSA. Vote for this or we will take Christmas away. If you vote this down it will take 10 years to get a contract. The only good thing is the new pilot uniform for everyone, which is a dress. I think I'm around a size 12.

The pilots spent 4 years without a contract and accepted a whopping 7% raise. Long term disability is capped at 1000 per month. Gojet should have made it 10000 a month because before they will let anyone get long term disability they will terminate them. The Gojet way.

Gojet pilots accepted this because we don't feel we are worthy of getting decent pay, and by accepting it we proved our belief to be correct. In a few months Gojet will again go to the bottom of the pay scale and that is where they will remain for the next 10 years.

We got exactly what we deserve. Why on earth did I think the pilots would vote this down?

If you thought all that, why on earth did you decide to go there in the first place?

Strong? Define good? Mesa went from 210ish planes to what 90 at ch 11 exit? Pncl had how many 300 planes, shrunk to 145? Eagle 305 to 142? Define how history isn't against them. Add the catch 22 of this and pilot staffing.

Size 12, really?

Do you know how bankruptcies work?? The company (nor the union) does not get really any say on what contracts to keep and what to amend/scrap. The creditor's committee has a great deal of say in what happens to various contracts. They will demand that all parties make some cuts and I would be willing to bet the pilot contract will not survive unscathed. I highly doubt they will go back to their old contract, but a 5-10% cut across the board would not surprise me in the least. Creditors will demand that wages are closer to the industry average, and since republic is currently near the top, that only means they will likely go down. (Thanks to pay at Mesa, Envoy, PSA, etc, that are bringing the average down)

RAH will be a stronger company when it emerges from bankruptcy. I have no doubt about that. However, unfortunately, past precedence shows the pilot group will feel some pain.
