Hi Guys
I get a lot of PM's about GoJet and Sorry, it takes me sometime to respond back.
SO I will post here for everyone. My post will seem weird & all over the place as I took all the messages & copy pasted from the answers.
BONUS: I don't know for sure about the policy for Bonus, I would assume all new hires would get it but Pls clarify with your Pilot recruiter and get it in writing.
DENVER: Just like any other airline DEN is senior but new guys can also get in.
As far as holding DEN right off the bat, it can be a toss up. May be or May Not be.. Lots of movement happening But it also depends on timing, when one is hired & the associated movement.
There is one guy who waited for almost a year to get to DEN but some guys got it within a few months & a few even, before IOE.
DEN doesn't have Delta Bennies, so if those are imp, then I would recommend ORD or DTW or STL first for a month or two.
Also, you are always STL based in training, so activate your Delta Bennies right away by paying $50. You will know how & where, when you get to that point.
CA Flying: As far as I believe, there is NO fixed % what seat any CA would fly. All CA's are right seat qualified, so technically, they could make you fly 100% right seat but you always get paid CA pay.
Now why any company will pay double for same job, is a topic of different discussion..
RESERVE here is a moving target, 1 month to 1 year. Depends on the base, your hiring timing and of course the the season.
Fall flying is slow, so less lines..
DEC, plan on a long Reserve.. We do have long call reserves which can be converted to Short call only 2 times.
Reserve in DEN can be long, few months to few years, just depends on the season.
Traditionally, one will always hold a line much faster in STL.
DTW opens next month & plan is to start with 10 crews & double it every month for next 3 months.
RDU starts shrinking, so we will see what that does to DEN & all other bases.
At one point, DEN was supposed to grow. I am sure you all know how plans work at airlines.
Now that doesn't mean life is all Rainbows & Unicorns at G7.
I do see issues around me and there are a lot of them. The Left hand doesn't coordinate with the right hand...
Pls be prepared for a lot of BS, cluster F##k stuff & make sure you pack a LOT of patience.
Dispatch Paperwork not showing up on time.. Lufthansa software issue.. It IS a big deal on the go home leg when you need to push ON TIME get on your last commute flight home. SO yes that one hurts the mosts..
PAYROLL ISSUES, Schedules not coming on time, Open time issues. Hotels Not booked, MX issues, APU deferred, AP deferred.
If any of you are of the kinds who will have a sleepless night because they didn't pay correctly or didn't pay for a 3 or 4 hour trip, then you will have a lot of sleepless nights..
You will get the money but you have to be your own auditor & accountant & watch the paystubs and will have to file a pay report & escalate the issue some times..
Is it right NO, does it happen YES...
So, I personally only bid min credit, 74-75 hrs & then they could cancel the whole month, I know how much I am going to make.
There are some who bid max credit & they are OK to wait for the correct pay, everyone's situation is different..
If you choose to come here, Pls do your homework. It's not the best company & Not the worst either. Pls come here if the bases work for you.
Personally, I am generally happy here. I show up to work on time, do my job & go home; I follow the GOM & fly SOP.
I choose to NOT get involved in anything which is not my pay grade & also ignore the BS.
Do I get frustrated YES.. But then Shrug it off, shake it off & move on..
I never had an issue commuting because of who I work for.
Hope this helps, Let me know if I can help in any way.

Hi Guys,
I got more PM's & questions, so here's answers for everyone..
I personally have never had any problem commuting because of who my employer is. I have NOT heard any other GoJet pilot having any issues with commuting because he works for G7.
ORD was supposed to shrink a little & DEN was supposed to grow. Aspen was supposed to happen but that all did not happen.
Now with LGA flying going soon or already gone; And with DTW base opening, RDU will definitely shrink.
How it affects other bases, time will tell. However, I feel that all this should not affect DEN & ORD as much as they are primarily UA flying.
The most asked question:
How soon can one get to DEN..??
Truth is, it could be anything from 1 month to 1 year or even more.
If anyone tells you any different, then may be they know more than I do.
Bidding is done by Navtech PBS.
If someone uses a conservative approach and realistic attitude while bidding, decent results can be achieved in Navtech.
Reserves get 11 days off each Bid period which is typically a calendar month. Jan Feb & March are all 30 day bid periods, Jan 1-30, Jan 31 to march 1 & March 2 to Mar 31.
This year they made Nov, a 31 day period by taking Dec 1st into Nov Bid period. They will occasionally do that & our Scheduling committee signed off on it as it will help the pilots in better bids.
I am NOT very familiar in bidding for reserve and specially the reserve rules, it's been almost 2 years since I've been on reserve, but I will still try to give a broad overview.
First of all, all DEC's can expect to be on reserve for a while, I am sure you all are aware of that.
We have long call reserve, which is a min of 12 hrs to show time.
The company may convert Upto TWO reserve periods to Short call reserve. One reserve period is a block of reserve days.
Reserves blocks can be 2 to 6 days ON with 1 to 6 days OFF; depending on how people bid them and how they get it based on seniority.
Basically, it's 11 days OFF in a month for you, however you want to slice it, you can do it usually, most of time.
I believe reserve days can be moved around in coordination with scheduling and depending on coverage, Sometimes they are cool about it, sometimes they as complete a$$, all depends on who you get & what kind of day it is. They can also be traded / swapped between pilots.
Most popular style, if you don't like the answer, just politely end the call & try again after a few hours. New shift, new face, new outcome..
The new contract has given a lot of improvement to reserve rules but still has many loopholes and weak language in many areas. It will need a lot of work & effort plus struggle to iron those out.
Grievances are being filed, which will set precedents & result in LOA's, but it will take time & constant effort.
The Union guys are working non stop, Pls know that any union is as strong as the participating pilot group is.
We get 4 hotel rooms each month for commuter pilots.
Insurance is through United Health Care.
I believe $140 for the employee and about $300 or $400 for the family but pls don't quote me as I not sure.
I was trying to find the rates but couldn't find it.
I personally don't use company, I buy it through coveredca.com which is the California site for Affordable Care act.
It provides me better options than what company has to offer and doesn't break the bank that much..
Did I miss anything..? Pls feel free to ask... I will try my best to answer in as quickly as possible.

Buddy of mine apply to B6 got a denial letter. When looking over paperwork GoJet stated not re-hireable. This guy is a current Captain at GoJet.
TrueStory. I wish he would let me post the paper on here but it may cost him more problems. Just happened.
Guess what RB said... Don't have to really tell ya but it involved a bucket of sand.
Now we are trying to fix it on our end..
