Default GOJET Direct entry captain questions

Could anyone currently flying for GOJET answer these questions ?

1. Do street captains get the 7k signing bonus or only new fo's ?
2. Could a new hire direct entry captain hold the DEN base as a reserve captain right of the bat , if not what base could be expected ?
3. Is it true that direct entry captains fly only 50% of the flying as captains
4. If you are a reserve direct entry captain , would the company use you as a FO if they need one ?
5. what is a realistic time for a new hire direct entry captain to get off of reserve?

Thanks in advance.

Why GoJet of all places right now?

Not to sound like a cheerleader, but if you qualify for CA mins 9E will have you in the left seat probably within 3 months out of training. But you have to okay with NYC, which I understand entirely if that is a turnoff.

NYC is definitely not an option because of the cost of living.
I had bad experience in the past with quick upgrade etc promises.

GOJET package as presented was quite attractive :

1. Full pay and benefits from day one.
2. Single occupancy hotel accommodation during training.
3. Pass privileges on UA and DL.
4. health care benefits through UA and DL.
5. Ability to hold DEN base right off the bat ( local to DEN so OK with being on reserve for a while)
6. 7K signing bonus and 5K for each new hire you mentor if you choose to do the mentorship .
7. High rewards for flying trips that the company has problem crewing.

Right now I'm not familiar with any other direct entry captain opportunities and these kind of benefits , not to say there aren't any out there.

1. Nope, only FOs.
2. Not a chance, about 2 years as of right now to hold Den. But we do have a lot of captains leaving, so that might drop.
3. I was hired as a street captain in Feb and have only flown 1 trip in the right seat. Also had a line for June and July in STL.
4. Yes, all captains are dual qualified in both seats so it's possible.
5. Depends on what base. STL, RDU and possibly DTW is around 6 months. ORD is around 4 years to hold a line, DEN is around 3 years. Again we have a lot of movement, so those times will drop a bit, but no guarantees...

4 it's United health care, which has nothing to do with United airlines... It's still an ok health provider, about $140/mo which includes dental for single payer.

Fair enough. I would highly encourage you to read through the GoJet thread on the board here first though, understanding that those of us that come on APC are usually the angry and vitriolic 2% of course.

From my experience the grass is not always greener at other companies
