Yeah, in any case it's excessive and that "old school pro" BS needs to take a hike out of the industry already.

Absolutely. So long as the FMS works, we're in good hands. Bermuda shorts go nice with a bun & beard.

Indeed, wasn't a problem when we hauled freight in the islands. Anyway, I'll be long retired by the time things get comfortable for actual degenerates like me... Probably because I don't live for an image.

Purely anecdotal but that's going the way of the dodo as well. I'm sure it's still on the books, but Chair Force enlisted, in theatre, have no grooming or physical fitness standards enforced. It's pretty bad when middle age contractors are in better shape and groomed to a higher standard than those in uniform.

Really? AF shirts were always the worst about pointing out if a pilot’s mustache were even the slightest bit out of regs.

As long as I make it to 55 to hang it up (7 years to go baby) and never have to step foot on an plane again or shave if I don't want to. That'll be just swell. Let the new kids worry about how good their flying looks (or whatever it is they're into).

US Navy is reconsidering beard policy (which is based on O2 and fire-fighting mask seals)...

Once the USMC authorizes beards, then maybe the legacies will too.

Technically, they already have for Sikhs. If they can, no reason everyone shouldn’t.
