Climate change is a natural phenomenon, yet the rate of change is the so called "problem". The name should be Climate rate change, but that's semantics.


Scientists take current, and historical data to produce climate models, which they draw conclusions. Over the past 40 years, these models have been horribly inaccurate. Those 97% of scientists came to their conclusions based on models that were up to 8 std deviations wrong. The only models that were correct were based on negligible man-made influence. However, these institutions now claim, today they have better models, and to simply check back in another decade, when they'll be right, this time. In the mean time, we are supposed to hand them trillions in tax dollars. Asking for financial compensation based on false mathematical modeling is the very definition of a scam, even if there is consensus.

 

Christian is a known right wing extremist and white supremacist. On April 29, Christian showed up to the right-wing "March for Free Speech" on 82nd Avenue in Montavilla with a baseball bat in an attempt to assault left-wing protesters. The bat was quickly confiscated by Portland police officers. He ranted how he was a nihilist. He'd soon yelled racial slurs ("**** all you n*****s") and gave the Nazi salute throughout the day. He yelled "Hail Vinland" throughout the day.

 

Sounds like he is more teh crazy than politically motivated.

 

You've thrown out a lot of accusations, made a lot of nonsense comparisons yet not once have you made a cogent and reasoned argument to support your claims regarding global warming. Make an argument or don't say anything. Ridiculing may be effective in shutting people up but it doesn't make a good argument to support your ideas.

 

Doesn't mean it's viable, renewables are not a viable alternative to powering this country over traditional power sources. For right now they are just nothing more than gimmicks.

 

The science doesn't prove or even show humans are the cause or can affect he climate.

Either way at the end of the day nobody is stoping any of these green companies from developing third tech, or stopping Tesla from seeling cars or preventing any of you from going vegan or using you bare hand to wipe your​ butt with. It just took the federal government out of the business which it never should have been in to begin with.

This is really what the lefts rage is about. Losing more control.

 

You're missing the point. No one on this forum is qualified to make a claim regarding climate change.

It is akin to a non-pilot telling 97% of pilots they're ​flying wrong.

Which is why we rely on scientists.

So if you say it isn't happening, the only way to support your argument is to provide links to scientific research, in the form of peer-reviewed studies. Or some concrete evidence of a conspiracy on the part of hundreds of scientific organizations.

In decades worth of following the subject I've seen not a single piece of well-researched evidence of either.

The onus is on folks who do not want to listen to the scientific consensus.

Or, they can admit, which I'm coming to believe is a more honest truth, that they don't really care whether the climate is changing because of human activity.
