Instead of creating their own SNB and Regional aircraft it seems they may just buy it.

Awesome!
Then we can plan on seeing a "yuuuge" announcement about the majority of the content of each C-Series jet will now be built in 'Murr-icA by 'Murri-cANS.
(Wait a minute, most of each C-Series jet is already built in 'Murr-icA)
More than likely, Boeing will outsource most of it can overseas in the future and have less USA content than if it was built in Montreal.

This just lends credence to the theory that Boeing made the tariff move on bombardier in order to further decimate bombardier and the c series program to a point where BBD would have no choice but to sell c series to Boeing for pennies on the dollar. Stifle innovation, acquire or put competition out of business, outsource labor/materials/manufacturing overseas, whine like a baby to the government about subsidies all while selling products to subsidized carriers that compete with US companies, in some cases using US subsidies (ExIm)...that’s the Boeing way. I hope they lose this war.

My bad, took the hook deep and ran with it without reading closely although I think most if not all of the EMB series are majority US content as well.

Boeing and Embraer are in tie-up talks
Boeing and Embraer are in tie-up talks - Dec. 21, 2017
The plot thickens......
First it was plane makers in Canada and Europe. Now companies in the United States and Brazil might get hitched.
Plane makers Boeing and Embraer issued a joint statement Thursday confirming the "companies are engaged in discussions regarding a potential combination, the basis of which remains under discussion."
"There is no guarantee a transaction will result from these discussions. Boeing and Embraer do not intend to make any additional comments regarding these discussions," according to the statement. Any agreement would be subject to approval by their respective boards, shareholders and the Brazilian Government, the statement added.
The Wall Street Journal first reported that Boeing, the world's largest maker of planes, and Brazil's Embraer, the third, had held talks about a possible takeover. But approval by the Brazilian Government remained the largest sticking point.
Shares of Embraer (ERJ) rose more than 28% during trading on Thursday.
In October, European Airbus agreed to acquire a 50.01% stake in Canadian plane maker Bombardier's new C Series single-aisle jet.
