Default Shipping a Pool Cue

So, I'm a fairly serious pool player. My cues need to be kept between 60-80°F or else they could warp beyond repair (had this happen before). How would you go about shipping a temperature sensitive item like this across the country for a tournament? I wish I could carry them on. Is there a way to carry on an item that is usually prohibited?

I doubt you can guarantee temps when out of your control, except time of year & locations.

As a crew member how about a ‘two-piece’ carried on with you?

Are you that good you have to be that particular?

I never checked to see if 2 piece cues (all mine are) were under a different regulatory category than one piece. I'll check that out!

And I wouldn't say I'm that good (probably rank somewhere around a 6), but I'm working on it, and I recently had a fairly expensive cue damaged by cold temperatures. I just bought my dream cue and I am taking no risks!
