You know you have to look in the mirror when you shave. Pencil whipping the log book isn't good for anyone. It will bite you in the end.

My sparse 700 hours are all factual. If the log book needs something to acompany it, then ask my wife about the check book and credit card bills for av-gas, annual inspections, flight reviews, written tests, instrument rating, avionics repairs and purchases, and the puchase and sale of 2 other airplanes. She knows exactly how much that 700 hours has cost over the years. And it aint cheap.

But one of these days when I apply for a flying job, after I retire, because I couldn't raise a family on entry level flying wages, I'll be able to look the Boss in the eye and say yeah, that's the hours I have.

Take pride in yourself and the skills you have. Your skill as a pilot is what you show while you in the PIC seat, not what's in the log book. Honesty, integrity, and ethics are not just words on paper.
