When Boston is a delta "hub" but not even a crew base, you think there is much hope for Boise?
Unless it's a ULCC doing their typical out and back day trip, I doubt it.
But SLC is just a jump-seat away....

partially joking i'm aware of denver, seattle, portland etc. covering the west but i think at some point boise may be more legitimate

Why is that?


Hubs/crew bases are predicated in frequency. Frequency is dictated by originating, terminating, and connecting traffic. When the frequency increases to the point where maintaining the fixed cost of a base administrative staff is less than the cost of laying crews over, then maybe. The real question is what’s the economic engine in Boise that will drive additional frequencies?

only way I see this is if non FFD carriers adopt the out station basing model like some regionals. OO and RAH have out station basing but I'm not sure that model would be viable at a legacy/LCC
