Toilet duck,
You won't see too many B100s. Theres only about 150 ever made.
History lesson. In the late 70's Pratt&Whittney went on strike. They were putt'n engines on all king airs. during the strike- garrett stepped in and started throwing engines on them. The garretts on the b100 could be TPE331-6(suck) TPE331-8(suck a little less) and TPE-331-10 (330 knots- good). Regardless of what you get they are discusstingly loud. And if you do quick turns or 135 stuff you'll end up with hot sections way before there due.

Its a good plane but I enjoy the king airs with pratts better. The noise of that direct drive system drives me nuts sometimes. Not to mention spinning the props everytime you shutdown.

The -10 conversion we had was only the hotsection so you're limited by the gearbox. Your takeoff and low altitude performance were the same but the aircraft had better performance up high.

Oh yeah, frankenstien has the model 99 tail in addition to the other things I mentioned.

Default Lr-28

I have about 200 hours in 28-005. It was based in TEB during the mid 80's. It was a little rocket ship.....If memory serves correctly 4660lbs of fuel. it didnt go far , but got there in a hurry....I had it to FL497 (block alt). it was certified to FL510.

It was a great airplane for the short haul stuff........

Yeah, in the b100 you only have a 4.7 cabin. Can't go that high for the fancy engines to give you output. Your right it is a blunder.
