Insurance wise in the part 135 world, you are closer to being a piston twin PIC than a turbine twin PIC. Insurance companies like you to have some multi PIC time to cover you as a turbine multi PIC under 135 ops. You will also need 200 more hours to qualify for IFR PIC under FAR 135.

I am all for you going for turbines, I just wanted to point out some things you may not have thought of. Good Luck
They have Twin Otters

Do they have the OP Spec for autopilot in lieu of a Second in Command? If so, it may be impossible to log any time as SIC.

Do SICs get any legs?

***(Sounds like scenic tours,if so, the rest of the above may or may not be valid questions. I know nothing of scenic ops outside of single engines)

V/S, If it was me, I would stay where I was and build some multi-engine time. Before you know it, you will have MEL PIC time, and that will get you to the NEXT level; turbine time at a regional outfit. It's a marathon, not the 100 yard dash. Hang in there. Please feel free to PM me if I can be of any assistance to you.
Blue skys to you.

I'm leaning towards the ME PIC but still am torn. Each option has it's benefits! If I took the new job I'd get turbine time in a crew environment along with the ocassional IMC. I suppose I need to stay put and stick it out. I hear to upgrade to a captain I need a min. of 500hrs in type to meet the insurance requirements. So that means I'll have to fly the ditch even longer. If I eventually go to the regionals, they mostly want 100 to 300 multi PIC. I suppose the biggest draw back is if i want to go corporate. I think Most of those gigs require some turbine time.
