That is nowhere near a twelvefold difference in EITHER CASE.
The simple math is confusing you. The U.S. military, and as a whole, was ranked #1 in the world. Afghanistan was ranked among the worst countries in the world. Ukraine vs Russia is a much fairer fight than 'World's #1 takes on worst country in the world.' 1960's Vietnam wasn't as backwards but it certainly was a backwater to the one of the world's 2 superpowers back then regardless of you insistence that math really matters and the magic number is 12!!!!!

I get being upset, day after day, year after year, of Ukraine surviving against a country and leader that you have a personal affinity for. Few really understand why but it's your thing.

Ranking wasn’t the issue, it was population and GDP. YOU JUST CAN’T DO MATH. Either that or you believe you can deflect by answering questions that weren’t asked. Or Both.

You're being silly. You just have to be able to count to 4 - 1, 2, 3, 4....years and Putin's still incompetent but we've got you plugging for him. It's almost charming...almost.

^^Putin is pure evil incarnate.

Time remaining is far shorter than most people realize. Snow piles up, snow melts away. A month or two from now this glorious homage to Russian greatness shifts back into 4th gear. Ukraine clings to life as Kiev is blasted, block after block, into debris piles. Where stoic giants stand off oppression, exile or a gulag reeducation bunk. And the band played on.

Numbers aren't his strong point. He failed basic 101 level accounting on the AA threads. Aside from his real-time demonstrations of the Dunning-Kruger effect, it really is amazingly sad how many people we have today plugging for a foe of the USA in Putin (Russia).

My goodness you are pedantic. Talk about completely missing the forest for the trees. Do try and focus less on those confusing little details & more on the overall point your critic is very effectively making.

Judge less. Listen, learn more. Worthy opposition is no small part of best practice decision making. Judas Priest, our schools, what’s the story?

A rather long writeup of how the Ukrainians have exploited the Russians dependence on Starlink. Gotta love those guys. The first few paragraphs are worth browsing for a chuckle, but it drags on until the little highlight I'm posting below.

The Starlink Trap

https://substack.com/home/post/p-187831529
"Consider the operational chain: A Russian drone operator provides complete terminal data to activate service. The coordinates place the terminal at a specific grid reference—a tree line three kilometers behind current frontline positions. That location, cross-referenced with Ukrainian signals intelligence and pattern-of-life analysis, indicates a forward command post. The terminal’s connection history shows it’s been active for six weeks, suggesting semi-permanent positioning rather than a mobile unit.

Ukrainian artillery has coordinates. Ukrainian drones have targets. Ukrainian electronic warfare units have frequencies and device signatures to track.

The terminal becomes a beacon broadcasting its own position."
